The battle has already been won, so Satan can't control us. Know your authority. Anything the devil runs scared of us when we truly live for Christ. My testimony, I almost feel I shouldn’t share it but I understand the importance of it all now and give all the Glory to God for this. I lost my entire family by the time I was 22 years old I buried my father whom was all I had left in this world. It hurt, but I was young and resilient. I was determined to make my life matter because I was the last one left here and felt I had to make something of it. I couldn’t understand why I was the one left here, and the pressure I felt was unbearable. For years after my father died, I did the exact opposite of what I wanted to do. I became addicted to substances and became complacent, self-destructive, and eventually just felt defeated entirely. I couldn’t see a reason in anything in life, but for some reason, even after ruining my life for years and years, I just couldn’t bear the thought of just giving up. I was haunted by the idea of being a disappointment to those who I lost, and that it was my responsibility to make my life worth something after losing them. I looked everywhere for answers, even went to my old church I went to in high school, only to be turned away at my lowest point in life, by people I had known for years. I was beyond lost and felt there was no purpose to anything in life. So I became numb and just tried to blend in with my friends who had what seemed to me a “normal life”. Then one day, in the peak of the COVID pandemic (2020) I experienced something more terrifying than anything I could have ever imagined, something words simply cannot explain, and that day would change my life forever. I am not the type of person to freeze up in fear. I’ve faced many dangerous situations in this world, and usually I handled them better than most, but in this moment I was just completely paralyzed. I didn’t even say a word, and my girlfriend at the time dropped to her knees, grabbed my hand and asked me “Do you take Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior” (I was not the type to ever say yes to that with absolute certainty, but I did. God came to me, immediately, even after I turned my back on him for years in arrogance and trusted only my prideful self. I will never doubt that God is real and I am a fully devoted believer, and chose to be baptized a year later. (Coincidentally on the day of Pentecost, and didn’t know what that was until afterwords and someone told me). The night before my baptism, I went to a Walmart randomly next to my house because I had to use the restroom. The Walmart was not the most convenient spot to stop, but I just followed my gut which didn’t seem like anything important because I was just trying to use the restroom. I picked the middle stall at random and when I walked up to it, I found a note tapped to the urinal of all places and that note read “please come to Jesus, Jesus is 4 you, Jesus is waiting on you right now”.
