Спасибо за урок, Настя! Как всегда отлично! 😊👍 I cheated and looked up the word ending that you said we haven't learnt yet. I have now discovered the instrumental case! 😄

Today's words in the title, from a Russian Proverb: "Sleep on it." That actually happens a lot since I began this Course. Within a month people in my dreams were speaking in Russian and road signs became Russian as well signs on stores, in shop windows. It gives me the impression that my subconscious mind is absorbing more information than my conscious awareness. Not every dream has a Russian theme, but the majority have Russian aspects. In one recent dream I was handed a shopping list and every word was written in Russian. I could read almost all of the products. When I woke up, I puzzled over the few I couldn't decipher in the dream - only to find that those items were listed in one of my notebooks! Therefore my subconscious mind "knew" the words, even if "I" had not recalled them. Really weird feeling 😀 I think we are somehow storing this knowledge in our minds, even if we don't have immediate recall. I guess the key is finding a way to "remember to remember." Good luck everyone!

That's cool! I've had similar dreams where I was attempting to remember how to ask for something in a Russian supermarket. It definitely becomes a part of you consciously and subconsciously as you say. Very interesting comment 👍🙂

@@techtinkerin Privet Tech! I read your comment to my husband and Rick laughed: "Hey, maybe you were shopping in the same Russian Dream Supermarket!" 😀 Now that would be truly bizarre!!! I wonder if in a future dream you will be in a queue at the supermarket, trying to find the right words to say ... and turn around to find Nastya there with helpful hints! (Or see a woman with long, pale pink hair ... that's me!) Seriously though, we do file away information in our minds. Another noticeable aspect of these dreams is when "dream people" speak to me in Russian, I tend to flounder and revert to speaking in Nominative when I run out of pre-prepared phrases. By that I mean, I practice certain common phrases daily. That works okay in a dream until (just like what would likely happen in waking life!) the conversation becomes more complicated. However, I'm aware that the dream people are speaking with proper grammar. Or at least they seem to be. As we progress with the Course and further into the various Cases, I notice that the dream people seem to know more than "I" do. I'm guessing this has happened because for years I've watched Russian movies & listened to Russian music, so I already knew numerous words - but NOT grammar ... yet perhaps, by osmosis, I have gathered information subliminally and now due to the Course, I begin to recognize it?!! This is a more plausible possibility than my dream world being populated with Russian speaking entities who are "other" than "myself"! I wonder if anyone else is experiencing this? Thanks for your comment Tech Tinkering. Cheers! 🙂

моя сегодняшняя короткая история: Сегодня утром Андрей поступил в институт. Когда он приехал, он видел красивую женщину на стоянке. У неё были кудрявые светлые волосы до плеч и голубые глаза, она носила накладные ресницы. Она плакала. Он не знал что случилось. Он хотел подойти к ней но у него нет было времени. Он вошёл в здание и увидел группу преподавателей которые собирались и разговаривали. Тогда он узнал, что женщина, которую он видел на стоянке , только что уволили.

@@lilyrose4191 thank you, indeed I learned it from a Russian film called Breakfast at Daddy's, there's another chanel I follow (I hope Nastya won't get mad at me xD), its name is "Russian From The Heart" with Anna Cher, a Russian teacher from NYC, and she made some videos with excerpts of this film (a great one btw, I absolutely recommend it) and translated what actors said in each excerpt. It's a great way to learn vocabulary (especially colloquial, real life language, slang) imo. I try to use new words I learn in other videos in my short stories as well

@@maraj8215 Thank you for the info, I very much appreciate it Mara. I haven't seen that Channel and I will look for it. 🙂 I'm sure Nastya won't mind! it's good for us to hear different voices speaking Russian. Last night I watched 2 channels that I hadn't see previously. One of the channels "Learn Russian with Oxana" the girl's accent sounds British (she's Rus) beautiful voice. I have to admit, I do like the way Nastya pronounces words! Nastya is an excellent teacher.
