When you get to Byrness if lucky the Forest View Hotel might be open and you can camp there as well. This place is so well known to PW hikers. If not the local caravan site has a spot for campers, you will pass this site before getting to Forest View.

Thank you so much. This is helpful. Forest View is closed

You did well Christina walking to Alston in daylight hours, you must have got your head down, that track from Greg's hut to Garrigill seems like it's never ending, it's a pity you had no views from Cross Fell, if clear you can see over to the Lake District, you went upmarket last night getting scampi rather than a fish, hope you enjoyed.

Great series of videos. I don't know how far you are on the PW, but if you are not yet at Bellingham and are planning to camp there, I consider that the first camping site you come to is nicer than the one in the village. You also need to stock up on food here as well, the last shopping opportunity before you get to Kirk Yetholm.

I got psyched out when the guide book said that this was the hardest day, when it was no harder than every other day and by the time you're doing cross fell you're trail fit anyway. Cross fell is frustrating because of the false summits and the weather up there can be unique. I was glad to get to Alston though. No doubt you'll have done the ups and down of hadrians wall today and be in Greenhead and you have almost finished. Just Bellingham, Byrness and the cheviots ( hut 2 is a good stopping point ) and your kissing the wall of the border hotel.

This seems appropriate: No sun - no moon! No morn - no noon - No dawn - no dusk - no proper time of day. No warmth, no cheerfulness, no healthful ease, No comfortable feel in any member - No shade, no shine, no butterflies, no bees, No fruits, no flowers, no leaves, no birds! - November! by Thomas Hood Keep going. 🚶🏻♀️

I’ve noticed you’ve omitted mentioning the very long and tedious track walk from Greg’s hut to Garrigill. 😂 I’m enjoying your videos

There are places on the Pennine Way where waterproof socks are so useful, I always carry a pair with me, I dislike wet feet.
