If it were not for Tara Leigh Cobble and this Bible reading program I would not be on my second year of continuous reading of the Bible every day. She deserves to be lifted up by God for with many blessings for all she does for us each day it cannot be easy studying the scriptures and researching and giving so much time to the Lord thank you for understanding our need to understand the truth in God's word. May he bless you and keep you healthy and safe and continuing to do this for a long period of time or at least until I am raptured up which I pray will be soon for all of us . Even so Lord Jesus come

Yesterday we saw the Lord encourage Asa, saying “Be strong and courageous, for your work will be rewarded” (2 Chron 15:7). Today we see his son “taking courage in the ways of the Lord” (2 Chron 17:6). This seems to be a next level of courage, because it seeks to know how God does things, involves tearing down idols, and results in teaching others His ways (2 Chron 17:9). God wants me to walk carefully with Him, hating the temptation that pulls me from Him, and then teaching others about Him (such as a marriage course my wife and I are writing). God gives courage and sees that His word is fulfilled.

You have such a good point. I have really noticed the influence, for good or bad, these Kings and their wives have had on the choices their children make. Strong families teaching the ways of the Lord are so important. Strong children begin with Strong marriages. Good luck on your marriage course!

2 Chron. 17:10, this verse reminds me of the scripture that says that "when a man's ways pleases the Lord, He will cause his enemies to be at peace with him" - Prov. 16:7.

We must pray for our government leaders in all their forms. We must pray for their hearts to be turned towards the will of God. Righteousness exalts a nation and an is a reproach. Blessed Is The Nation whose God is The Lord Amen

I don't know why there are so few "likes" on all these Bible Recap videos! TLC, your videos have made a huge difference in the way I see God, not angry and hard but so merciful and so loving! Thank you for keeping on even when you get so little feedback. You have helped me tremendously!

God is sovereign over hearts. I think thats the biggest thing that challenges me. You know those fill in the blank statements? My blank has always been a repentant heart for someone I love so dearly. If only ________, I'd be so happy/content/joyful, etc. My blank "If only his heart would change and he'd know the Lord, I'd be so happy, content, joyful." I grapple with this because I KNOW it's all in His hands and timing. I know it may never happen and I pray for my heart to be prepared for HIS plan and will, regardless of how I want it to be. But it's something I fixate on and have to lay it down EVERY single day. HE is sovereign over hearts. Whatever He is doing serves His purposes. I'm along for the ride and I get to show His love (or try to) even (especially) to those who don't know Him like I do. Thanks BR family. It's so wonderful to do this plan with you all. Keep my husband's heart in prayer. The power of prayer is beyond comprehension and far more miraculous than I can fathom! ❤

A great word- God his sovereign over all, countries, lands, wars, this fallen, corrupt country of ours. His Sovereign over the evil. Wow. I'm thinking on this for awhile. I need the peace.

I had thought, even though God does not give the good fear of the Lord to the Philistines I still believe that giving the Philistines dread over God is still a blessing. Think about it, if the philistines didn’t have that dread they would choose to go to war with Jehoshaphat do they probably would’ve been massacred. God gave them fear, but also mercy. God is good

Aloha and praise God BR family. Thanks, TLC, for everyday of recapping God words. You asked yesterday if there was something that we learned since starting BR 176 days of reading God's words. Yes, there good and bad leaders in the North and South. We see that today in this chaotic world we are faced with good and bad leadership. Be blessed and a blessing to others. My faith and trust are in the Lord. He is where the JOY is!!!

@@jaymers66 God is a relational God. He is concerned with our heart posture towards him, ourselves, and others. If our heart is not right nothing else matters. SEE Psalms 51:10; 1st Samuel 16:7; Joel 2:12-13.

I just saw this page for the first time. I study the BibleRecap with a group of ladies, and have for 178 days but I don't normally see this page, so perhaps that's why you don't see as many comments. Terra Leigh Cobble does a fabulous job but the sites she encourages us to join are closed groups with a fee to join which I can't afford to do. But yes, this is a fabulous app!
