I'd rather remain anonymous but I have personally met and touched the hands of the Savior. I have seen him and been learning from him since I was 12. I saw him 4x before I was ordained as a priest and the last time I interacted with him I was 33 and I felt his hand. He has been living among us for a Loooooong time. He has hair white as snow. Wears incognito glasses. He is certainly the Savior and Redeemer of the world. I no longer have faith but that doesn't make mortal life any easier trust me. I was excommunicated at 29 for breaking the law of Chastity. I'm married and sealed to my children now and I'm 37.

Thank you for your comment. I can see how not having faith doesn't make mortal life easier. It sounds like your journey has been interesting!

I'm new to the channel. I like these kind of channels. I found this as it just appeared on my feed. I'm a big fan of the channel Christian Homestead. Maybe you collab with him?

I don't collab with anyone, but I'm glad to hear you are enjoying my channel. Thank you for watching/listening.

I've stepped away from the church. Based on what I've seen, heard and read in the past 10 years, I'm pretty shocked that anyone with internet access is still joining the church. The church today is not what it was in the 70's 80s and 90s (aka, the glory days). Many young gen Z and millenial podcasters don't understand some of the core doctrines that made the church what it was back in the day...they believe in some version of the church that is very mainstream Christianity and it's quite interesting to watch unfold over the past even 3-4 years since I've stepped way. Lots of good happening by the members of the church, that can't be denied. And no organization has been able to duplicate the amazing community the church has created. But the major truth claims are under serious critic and with good evidence. Just my thoughts on the matter. Best of luck with your podcast

I hear what you are saying and I support everyone on their path no matter where they are. But "truth claims" have always been scrutinized. That's why it requires faith to practice any religion. It has been confirmed to me that the truth claims of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are true. I know God is real, He hears and answers my prayers. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior and that he was a real human that walked the earth. Russel M. Nelson is God's prophet today. You definitely don't have to agree with me, but that is my testimony.

@@denitabremercoaching Thanks for your reply and I'm in no way trying to dog on your channel..not sure why KZbin put it in my feed but perhaps it was a chance to share a different perspective. I can appreciate where you're coming from but, unless I'm mis characterizing, I'm sure you haven't taken a look at the objective information that is available to anyone with a google seach capability. So we are operating based on a different set of data and information. The chuch encouraged me all my life to read the best books, gather truth whereever it may be. But when I pursued this truth, it revealed inconsistencies in the very organization I was a part of. It's truly a hard thing to navigate. And even the word "truth" is a hard one to nail down. I think the chuch allows it's members to use this word too liberally. What is truth? Can truth change? I think the church painted itself into a corner with this word...testimony meeting is people getting up and essentially regurgitating what they've heard other people say and what they've observed others saying while growing up. I agree with you that it absolutely does require faith to practice any religion, which is why I don't follow any religion now. As the world moves towards understanding more of what makes things work, a.k.a. science, it becomes harder and harder to rely on "faith" because the two don't agree with each other. As a member all the way into my mid 40's, I didn't know I was using my faith to supress some obvious things in life. I had to stop relying on my feelings to determine if something was "true", I had to come to grips that some prayers are answered and some are not and ultimately there is no way of attributing an answered prayer to an all knowing being. These were very hard moments to pass through but I'm glad I pushed through. Life makes more sense now, not knowing why some things happen. Life can be so orderly and it can be so hectic at the same time. One thing I think we can agree on as truth, though, is the church is changing as the world changes. Core doctrines will also change as the world puts pressure on the church to live in the current times. What the church will look like in 30 years is anyone's guess, because look back 30 years and tell me things are the same doctinally? They aren't. Things are moving more into being policies than doctrine...policies can change and the people don't care so much. Happy to hear your thoughts

@@Thriving2015 I'm sure that journey has been difficult! I don't think there is such a thing as objective information. All information has some kind of spin or bias, even science. Science is only as good as the scientists. I believe science and faith can absolutely co-exist. The primary doctrines of the Church have stayed the same since Joseph Smith's time, and I don't think they will change, but I could be wrong! I think policies and how we interpret doctrines have and will change. But none of that matters for a personal witness of Jesus Christ.
