The Fangirl fibers advent has been hitting my 80s kid nostalgia hard with some of the colors. I loved pound puppies as a kid so much that one year had a pound puppies birthday cake.

Pound puppies!!! I was stumped until Kent gave toaster as a clue though 😂 I had a few of these and they didn’t do anything and were kind of flat and I used them as pillows 😆

Your knitting group sounds super fun! I just started a “crafternoon tea” group at my local library. The first meetup only had 4 people but it was still lovely and hopefully it will become a bit more popular with time.

Oh my gosh, I LOVED pound puppies!!!!! I had so many of them 🥹🥹💕💕 Did you ever have a Puppy/Kitty Surprise toy??? They were basically pregnant stuffed dogs/cats and you pulled puppies out of their tummies (I think it was Velcro) and it was a surprise how many you'd get 😂😂😂🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

Oh fun. I used to go to a meetup knitting group at that Lincoln Center location after work on Wednesdays. I stopped going due to covid and now I’m mostly WFH.

Ahh yes Pound Puppies!! I had a bigger one and 2 smaller ones. They were so cute, because the box they came in looked like a little doghouse. I love that you watch Crazy Sock Lady, too, because I discovered both of you through my cousin Mandi! I like Kent's Abita shirt. Your knit group looks fun. I love that you visit a new place each month. I wish we had something like that where I live. "Waldorf Wonderland" is in reference to The Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans and their beautiful decorations during Christmas time.

I totally get your point about bringing a huge blanket. On the other hand though, it’s pretty big and crochet not knitting so if you finished the stripe you could use it as a blanket and just leave the one tail. I’ve done that before 😂

I love your crochet blanket! Do you (or anyone else) have any tips for wrist pain when crocheting? I have no issues when knitting, but my carpal tunnel is extremely bad when trying to crochet. I'd love to be able to crochet again.

Hi I had the same problem with both hands. Got to the point where I was having trouble with holding a knife and fork at dinner and my middle finger on my left hand was starting to go numb. Unfortunately, the only thing that really worked was a carpal tunnel release on both hands.

@@emmarachmum oh my goodness! I'm definitely not at that point, as I don't have any pain when knitting. I just have trouble with crochet for some weird reason. I hope your hands are feeling better after all of that! Take care of yourself!
