Glad you got there safely. I remember the years of marathon drives with my exes. You do get to a point and an age where you can’t and/or are not willing to do that and either take the time to stop overnight or just fly.

You’re so lucky you left when you did. We drove to Nashville from WV (about 4 hours after you arrived) and the roads were so terrible from the deep freeze, it took us 8 hours when it usually takes 5!!!

When you were heading to Nashville we were preparing for a trip from NC to AL for a bowl game, where it was much colder than it was at home. I thought "oh we're heading south, so it'll be warmer"...I was so wrong LOL
