I can't imagine eating leeches would be a good idea. There are all kinds of parasites and diseases that can be found in the blood of wild animals, so I wouldn't trust a leech to be safe to eat. Plus, with how small they are, you would have to eat a bunch of them for any meaningful caloric intake. Altogether, someone with any significant survival training could probably find hundreds of things that are better to eat than leeches.

Actually, a big number of blood parasites don't fare well against digestiv acid, especially being cooked before.

About eating leeches, there was a guy in Alone Season 5 who got desperate enough to try eating some leeches. I wouldn't try, but he seemed to make it through them alright with some boiling (beings they had been feeding off a dead mouse).

Hey Kage, very nice episode. For the lower part of the tree house maybe put the half wall thingies on the inside, where the tree is. It closes the gap between tree and house and could look nice?

Heart of Palm and the green jungle corn (never spoils) can be eaten raw. The lacy mushrooms make a good soup for carbs.

Idea for the treehouse entrance. If you cant make the door as narrow as the bridge, make the bridge as wide as the door. Build two more short bridge segments to bracket the existing one and fill the full width of the opening.

Instead of building a mud mixer on the ground and having to bring 6 blocks up, make the mud mixer in the tree house and only bring up two mud from river (I haven’t tried this myself but in theory it should work)

Idk if this applies to PC but on console you can harvest the charcoal into ash and also use it to refuel your fire. Hope it works for you also ☺️

If u didnt know, when your hydration is full you can drink twice out of a turtle shell or pot. Nice for carbs or meat.

Yeah, you can eat leeches. You can eat them raw, but you have to be careful that you chew them all the way so they don't latch onto the inside of your throat when you swallow. You can cook them over a fire. You can grind them up and turn them into paste. Plenty of options!

I honestly like anaconda island, you have fish and a couple big trees, natives can't really get out there, you just have to look out for the gator

Wait 'til Kage finds out you can chop down random trees like the palm trees and logs on the ground. I flipped when I found that out plus you get resources from them. Also that noise at the end was the simmering noise from setting the pot on the campfire even if the pot is empty it makes the noise.

I gotta say I think you should do a doorway there just to keep in line with the walk bridge. I wish I had this on of and a pc to play it. It’s still dope on ps4. Love your videos I learned how to play the forest because of them. Now I’ve learned how to play this . Thank you man.

Trees have been dropping small sticks for me. They also drop randomly from trees so theyre littered on the ground

Well if my memory serves me right you can use charcoal to make ash bandages you just have to harvest the charcoal first to get the ash first. So it would be fair to say you were correct.

Just curious question, wouldnt be easier to make it out of wood, since wood trees can respawn but bamboo cant. Soon you will have to run far away to get bamboo logs, or i missed some update and bamboo logs respawn as well ?

Have You tried any of the wood walls and stuff yet? I love bamboo frames and the old bamboo long stick walls (before mudding walls) but I'm not a big fan of the new bamboo walls and ceilings (that might change when it comes out for consoles tho lol), I'm on Xbox so this update is probably going to be awhile before it drops for Us.

Looked it up. Leeches are edible raw or cooked but not to be swallowed while alive, so chew the raw ones well, um..yuk, but not recommended raw. Raw only in a survival, cooked is okay if not tasty.
