I'm putting the river km marker (or what it would be if there was a marker) in each of my video descriptions, so keep an eye out for them! I'm wondering where I'm going to camp between Murray Bridge and Goolwa too! Time will tell 😉 Thanks so much for following along!

Amy, what brand is your tent? It looks great and as you mention, easy to put up quickly. The fly came seperate? Still binge watching…. And still loving your travels! Cheers
@AmyOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
The tent is a '3f ul taiji'... I bought it online as a complete tent and then contacted the seller to see if I could buy a different coloured fly, so I now have a tent with 2 flys. It held up to the extra 4 months of daily pitches and pack ups very well, it's still going strong.

Yummy food...Nice river, lots of pelicans. Are there any crocodiles around?
@AmyOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
G'day, and thanks for watching! No, thankfully, there aren't any crocs in the Murray River. Its too cold for them in the winter this far south.

@@AmyOutdoors How can you take so much time off work? Any tips?
@AmyOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
lol, there aren't any secrets to it I'm afraid - having a workplace and boss that encourage flexible working arrangements is the main reason I've been able to do it so far! I work longer hours during the week to build up a bit of flexi-time, and then take it as soon as I can, simple as that really. I have probably done 80% of the sections on weekends, and then tacked a Friday or Monday onto them as flexi-time-off. I've also used up some of this year's annual leave for the longer sections. I can't think of a better way to spend my leave it to be honest!
@TheOutdoorSeeker4 жыл бұрын
@@AmyOutdoors I was wondering how you re-supply for such a long trip. Still your upcoming 16 weeks trip will be in one go or not?
@AmyOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
oh! Yes, the 16 week trip will be in one go. I'm using all of my Long Service Leave for that trip next year. And resupplying... I'll be stopping in at towns along the way to buy groceries from local shops. I was originally intending to box up a week's worth of food in each of 15 boxes and drop them off at caravan parks and information centres along the way (in fact I'd bought all my supplies before COVID hit), but since doing these section paddles I've realised I REALLY dislike eating only long-life shelf stable food, so I'll be buying regular food that I enjoy and do actually have room for along the way and supporting local communities.
