Great reminders to be good and to do good. *_ Proverbs 23: 29-35 shows how excessive wine leads to addiction and becoming drunkard leads to foolish thinking and sins. Wine is indeed mentioned as something good when drank in moderation and only during events. *_ Sirach 39:24 - The same thing can be good or bad depending on how we use it! *_ Proverbs 33: 39 shows that everything in the world is good just because it was created by God and because it exists. Like how fire is used to cook food and also can burn us if we are not careful, the same is true for anything and anyone. Thank you, Fr. Mike and Team Ascension. October 26, 2023 Round Two Will you please take a moment and pray with me? According to tradition, St. Gertrude the Great was told by Our Lord that each time she piously recited the following prayer, it would release 1,000 souls (or a vast number) from their suffering in purgatory: Eternal Father, I offer You the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, for those in my own home, and in my family. Amen. In her account of another vision, St. Faustina describes Purgatory as a "great crowd of suffering souls" undergoing purification. Further, she says that the souls are "praying fervently, but to no avail, for themselves; only we can come to their aid" (Diary, 20)

Isn’t it so true that wine can be beautiful but it can also lead to great hon?. I would say it’s the same relationship we should have the food, coffee,, and other things that can be pleasurable and make us happy but if you incorrectly, can lead to greater sin.
