Thank you for asking for prayer Kathy. I lost a home and 3 vehicles and have been fighting with fema because none of my insurance will cover the loss. I am sick of dealing with the government. I'm convinced our government is wretched full of a demon of avarice. They are stingy in their dealings with their own citizens. They sit snug in their own homes while we victims of the storm dwell in tents. Back in the day FEMA would provide homes for victims for their losses but today's government is wicked. I used to feel so terribly sad at the January 6th insurrection but I now feel the government got what they deserve. I literally treat my dog better than the government treats their citizens. Sure I feel bad about Ukraine but they don't even belong to the European union and are not our obligation yet our government provides for them over its own people. I'm disabled. The government throws me a bone every month but it is not enough to dwell in a house and now the manufacturer home that I inherited is not liveable. I have no vehicle to get around. Why should I have to live like this and they live in palaces and make their priority to promulgate debauchery. Please pray for me and especially our government. Praise God we have the supreme court on our side. Long live SCOTUS.

@@eduardohoover2127 It is upsetting about the suffering of the Ukraine people, but we do not even have an accounting as to where that money went. There was mass corruption in that country prior to this war, so why should we trust Ukraine's government to be honest now. During the terrible flood in Iowa by friend was given a place by FEMA to live for a year while she found something else. I know Franklin Graham has sent many with his Samaritan's purse to help people rebuild their homes etc. I do not know if that avenue is still open. I know when one is disabled there is not much you can do, unless you have family members who are willing to help. I will pray for you and our corrupt world. 🙏🙏🙏

When I hear people say they are scared to have children in these times, or scared to have more babies, I think (and say) that God is raising them up for SUCH A TIME AS THIS. Who knows? You could raise the next Esther or Mordecai! Or it could be you. But don't be scared to have children. Our children will be warriors for the faith. Praying for you all and Fr. Mike.

October 9, 2023 Please pray with me. According to tradition, St. Gertrude the Great was told by Our Lord that each time she piously recited the following prayer, it would release 1,000 souls (or a vast number) from their suffering in purgatory: Eternal Father, I offer You the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, for those in my own home, and in my family. Amen. In her account of another vision, St. Faustina describes Purgatory as a "great crowd of suffering souls" undergoing purification. Further, she says that the souls are "praying fervently, but to no avail, for themselves; only we can come to their aid" (Diary, 20)

It’s so incredible to know what kind of devotion Mordecai and Esther had to go on. They suffered so much yes they were God more than anyone or anything in the world and I want to be like that. It’s so true that Nehemiah reveals so much wisdom to us. His devotion towards God for his virtual is an example for me and hopefully for many of us. It is so true but it’s better to live on the corner of the roof and to live inside the house with a quarrelsome or unpleasant person. I think that is interesting that the book of Proverbs points out a quarrelsome woman. The reason I think that’s important is that in the olden days, the woman was in charge of the home. The woman’s demeanor sets The mood and the attitude of the household. I think it’s somewhat true even today. Let’s be better people everywhere.

When you read Proverbs 21, I said out loud ,"leave it Fr Mike leave it" but you didn't and I love that, I knew your sense of fun would kick in, and it is really funny and we need these lighter moments in the Bible. I did a BIAY plan a long tome ago, it is so much nicer with the commentary explaining the Catholic meaning by a Priest. Thank you for moving the podcast to KZbin with the words attached, I have a different Bible version and it makes it nice for those of us who like to read along. Would there be anyway if it were not too much trouble to attach the Book & Chapter at the top of the screen with the verses next to word like in the Bible or at the top of the screen. I Pray, that all the wayward Priest’s, Bishops, Cardinals and Pope Francis can hear and be convicted to act by great understanding of the Bible’s teachings as these. I pray, that they turn back to you God the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
