Umm...the New Testament says women should not teach in the congregation. The New Testament doesn't say anything one way or another whether or not women can be used to investigate whether or not someone in the congregation is a false friend that is abusing fellow Christians. Actually, the Old Testament would support the idea of women being involved in judicial meetings, because their were Israelite women, women that served God, that were Judges, such as Deborah. Judges 4:4 says: "Now Deborah, a prophet, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time." The Watchtower organization needs to read the Bible more thoroughly.

Raymond Franz, governing body member pointed out more than once unscriptural material was being printed, he said infact, another GB member said " print it, it will be gospel by sunday afternoon " After a life time service Ray Franz dissasociated himself, left the NY headquarters with his elderly wife, peniless, homeless, no pension, A disassociated brother gave the elderly couple a caravan to live in, on his drive, they all went out together one evening for a meal, were seen by some witnesses, reported to the elders, and that very night the GB changed the rules, now witnesses cannot speak to disassociated ones, up untill that night witnesses could speak to disassociated ones, but Ray Franz would have told. any witness he spoke to THE TRUTH about the GB and the watchtower, now that is how fast they can change policy,

the care and dependant on policy from the gb, plus fear, has emasculated the elders. the emasculation resulted in failure of protection, and the love that includes loving your neighbors as yourself. really sad.

The Governing Body is the Faithful and Discreet Slave Class according to the Watchtower organization. The Faithful and Discreet Slave Class are the "sole channel of communication between Jehovah and mankind." The Faithful and Discreet Slave Class are the "mouthpiece," the "spokesmen," the "Spiritual Mother," or Jehovah's Spiritual organization. The Revelation--It's Grand Climax book shows in chapter 1 that Jehovah gives information to Jesus, Jesus gives information to the John Class (aka the Faithful and Discreet Slave Class, aka the Governing Body), and the Governing Body gives information to the congregation. To do anything different than what the Governing body instructs us is to diverge from Jehovah's instructions. The court needs to just read enough JW literature, or interview enough JWs and former JWs in order to see that the Governing Body decides everything the JWs do, because the Governing Body represent Jehovah on Earth. By obeying the Governing Body, JWs are obeying Jehovah. By disobeying the Governing Body JWs are disobeying Jehovah. The Branch in Australia can't do anything without instruction from the Governing Body. Every JW knows this. Since when are elders allowed to interpret the “Sheppard the Flock” manual. Saying that the manual is not up to date and doesn’t apply the way it’s written now some 20+ years later and it’s procedures can be altered to meet the needs or desires of the elders or victims surely cannot be accurate as this branch worker has suggested. The elders follow the manual to the letter and don’t go against anything that is written and supplied by the GB. EVERY JW has been indoctrinated to believe that the GB has a Devine connection with Jehovah and going against anything written is not allowed. There are NO “free thinkers” in the JW organization.

At 53 quoting Geofery Jacksons lawyer "Since the Governing Body was not involved in the implementation and administration of policies and procedures in relation to child sexual abuse he would not be able to give relevant information" (thus he declined to appear voluntarily before the Commission). The Governing Body has lost a lot of my respect. They are sort of lying.

As a JW I can guarantee you that most of you non/ex-JWs know a lot more about this ARC than I do. I've heard so much talk of it outside the congregation that I was intrigued enough to start watching it. I'm currently making my way through the whole play list. I've been an unbaptised publisher for only six months (prior to that I was a Bible Student with the JW for 3.5 years.) I'm astounded at the way these elders are skirting around the issue here and being vague in their answers. Even though I've been a JW for only six months, I could give better answers to the ARC. And that Applewhite women? Strewth! Many here are saying that the GB is in charge of the WBTS. To be honest I don't think that's entirely true. From my understanding the GB are separate from the corporation "business" side of things. The GB are the head of the Spiritual side of things. I quantify that with the caveat that my inexperience with this level of knowledge of the WTBTS is limited. However, I agree that the GB should appear before the ARC. And looking at the playlist it seems Geoffrey Jackson does make an appearance on day 8. I shall look forward to watching that. The ARC has not been mentioned once, not even alluded to in any talk, literature or letter I've attended in the KH/AH/Convention.

It is an attempt to sound more vast than countries? I am in charge of many people at the branch but I am a bumbling, humble school boy at the same time? They should have gotten a better spokeshole for this, but they thought they'd be looking better this far into the game. What does a child abuse case have to do with Jehovah's Witnesses. This is an individual or individuals where each of us are sinful and make mistakes. To label and include the entire organization of God loving people who although imperfect, try to practice uniting of all races of people. Then they take this love and try to share it with their neighbors regardless of what background they are. We could learn a lot from Jehovah's Witnesses concerning how violence, sickness and death will be eliminated through Jehovah God's kingdom ruled by Jesus Christ. Please stop the ignorance and learn that the actions you are referring to concerning whatever sort of abuse is the circumstance of individuals, whom you should focus on, not a certain religious organization that has nothing to do with these issues. I hate that after taking the time to write or create such beautiful videos, without my permission, you put these trashy videos on my work. This sounds like a severe case of cyber-bullying and unchristian conduct. Please remove it immediately.

Claudette, you perhaps seem unaware of what this commission is actually about--that they are talking about policies that are not created by the individuals, such as the 2 witness rule. It's because of such policies that the watchtower itself, and not an individual, was found guilty and had to pay Candace Conti millions, a few years ago--the highest payout by a religion for sexual abuse up to that point. The commission first looked at Catholics. Now JW. Geoffrey Jackson, a GB member, agreed when asked, that the Royal Commission was beneficial and good. So is he right or are you?
