Great conclusion to the series! One of the best works by the Meateater Team, period! Would love to see different variations on this for Elk, Turkey, or other game. Different folks with the same goal in different areas across the country. Love the concept!

What a cool series, congrats Clay, well earned. Sorry Mark, we have all been there. The highs and the lows, in the last hours of the last day.

This show has helped me so much. I’m a roofer and I fell off a 3 story building two days before Christmas. Luckily I only broke 1 bone in my back and I’ll be able to recover. Having this show to give me something to look forward to (hunting) has helped me so much with my recovery. All I can think about is recovering and getting out there. Couldn’t be more thankful
@doeyjiaz47982 жыл бұрын
Happy to hear you're OK! Roofing is hard on a healthy body, I can't imagine how hard it would be recovering from a spinal injury. Best wishes to you and your recovery though man, hope you had a good Christmas and have a Happier New Year.

I love Meateaters awesome wild and exotic hunts but this is closest to What 80-90% of their viewing audience goes through on a yearly basis, the toil and frustration, the elation. That rollercoaster we’ve all ridden.
@bradc362 жыл бұрын
Damn that miss stings, you weren’t alone this year Mark. Had the same thing happen November 6th for me, spent a week hunting out of state and on my 2nd all day sit back in NY I dropped the ball on a great buck.
@josephfudala26142 жыл бұрын
This was a great series. Some take aways I had were, 1- Tony is a straight whitetail killer. 2- Was nice to see Clay score on a really cool trophy after hunting hard all week. 3- Mark showed us how frustrating this whole thing can be, wish he would have connected on that last morning monster but that's how it works out sometimes. 4- Spencer came up with a few different trophies besides the bucks. All in all this was a highly entertaining series and hope to see another one next year.

I love the honesty of this channel, showing the glory and the lows of hunting...more so because here in NZ, there is NO season and very few make moral choices on animals, rutt or otherwise, but worse, many have the bravado of "I never miss"

Mark Kenyon! You inspire with honesty and true grit, sir! Been in that moment before...but not with a buck of that stature. Great years ahead! The highs and the lows! MeatEater Crew! Keep a great thing rockin'!

Awesome series. Love having this content as a new adult hunter. I’ve got my own hunting buddies now, but it’s a treat to watch other hunters sharing their bow hunting experiences like this - not just a monotonous reel of killshots that lose their meaning but a deep dive into what the rut feels like for most bowhunters across the nation. I love how Meateater content ties hunters together like this and helps diminish some of the elitism in hunting.

I loved this series. I was really rooting for Clay to get one, and he came through after the two minute warning in the 4th quarter. How about "One Week in early October or Late September?" Whenever it is that Clay hunts bears in Arkansas. I would watch that. Follow him putting out the baits and what not.

This was a fun series, especially getting to see a MN native take a brute in our often overlooked home state here. I like my j hook release right there on my wrist minimum movement, quick acquisition of the dloop, you can keep that back tension for the range, or 5 spot, but I like the j hook for hunting.. also I use a cat quiver and I keep it on my left side my bow hand side arrows get on the bow faster and no need to move the bow around to nock another one, I've shot several deer 2 times this way, and also coyotes with a follow up arrow ready for their running mate . Great job guys love this segment. Keep after that buck mark he may come back! It's a good one.

I have to assume that Mark was the brains behind this operation. And for Mark, the TRUE whitetail addict, the super guru, the ride-or-die, move bc the wind is wrong, and if I don't move, I'll be pissed, to be the guy to get the goose egg... man... that is the definition of irony. Mark, I won't lie, I shed a couple tears for you when you missed that bruiser.

Typical for a liver shot. The deer will usually go 50-100 yards and lay down. If you leave them for a couple hours they’ll die there.

Why would deer, elk, moose & caribou seek water and stay there when chased by bears? They got this huge lead, but then for some reason start swimming in circles by a river or lake until the bear arrives. It's like suicide. Why would they do that? Q that needs answers for next season? 🙂
