Clay can sure tell a story that honors the land and the people who are blessed by it. I have an hour drive to my two hunt spots and that time is a joy listening to the bear grease podcast. I call Ontario home and it's fantastic to see you out in Canada and as excited as ever. Thanks Clay. I gotta get me one of those trucker caps. I shot the wrong deer last year on the chaos of last light and a dozen deer trading places over food. The lessons in hunting are never ending. It's always a humbling experience.

First year hunting with a bow, didn't want to spend a bunch of money to see if I would even enjoy it. Got it fit and adjusted for me at a local archery shop. Shot about 300 arrows before taking this out and getting my first kill at about 35 yards. Couldn't be happier with it. I did put some baseball bat grip tape around the handle for a better grip.

Love the addition of Mr. Newcomb. Seems like one heck of a guy. I can’t get over how many people batter and fry backstrap. I’m sure it’s delicious but it’s the best cut of meat on the animal. All I’ve ever done and can’t seem to vary it is heavy dose of S&P sometimes garlic and onion powder and go hot and fast on a grill, pellet grill, pan then oven…cook to internal 125 and slice. That’s just me I guess I’m SE Minnesota. Enjoy the brand, love the videos and wish everyone of y’all reading this successful and safe huntin and Fishin.

1. Congrats on a nice deer! Thank you for celebrating the back straps even though the antlers weren’t what you were after! 2. Glad I’m not the only one to use a chest rig in place of a straight bino harness, so many options with that rig 3. (Based on the video) You broke all of Kenyon’s scent control rules and still found success 😂

Clay, brother you need to take Mark under your wings, we all love good footage and like it where its not just all about us viewers, you took that deer in very low "camera light". The money it takes to go on this hunts, and process of good video footage so far makes up for it on the back half, and you get your deer and we get to see the aftermath. I know the key is to make it all come together and in a lot of cases you do and Steve. Yaw need to coach Mark and help him be a better hunter in regards to handling camera crews and making those decisions. I'm not sure what Mark does for MeatEater Empire but lets get some action success going. I'm a realist and tell people what they need to hear and not what they want to hear. I love yaws shows and I have spent my share of money on the products the company puts out and endorses.

Oh man does that suck I was thinking that when he took the shot it was pretty dark and you could barely see but if I was in Manitoba I wouldn't have shot that dear and then when he tagged it it was way smaller than I thought it was originally originally I thought it was like a nice 15160 but up there in Canada if I paid to hunt I would only shoot a 150 160 on the very last day cuz I've seen the Giants they have up in Manitoba that's actually one of my bucket list places to go and Hunt whitetail

@wtfbehindyou18922 жыл бұрын
The majority of the United States of America doesn't allow bait stations for bear. It's not fair chase imo any animal can be tracked found and killed. I don't hunt bear or moose but bump into them often. Spend more time in the woods they will find you. I buy black bear tags out of necessity I don't want to kill one but if I have to I want to keep it legally. Moose tags are something I need to look into.

I hate what antler scores have done to people. It started in the 90s with all the hunting shows on cable tv, prior to that you would just say you got a "nice 8" or a "good 10." The inside measurement was the only thing I recall seeing growing up, it was nice to know just how wide a deer got, but other than that a rack score does nothing for me. Id love to be able to shoot a true monster some day just to not score the rack.
