Wow- Papa bear, L-bear, J-bear, and A-bear Must be blown away by watching their daughter/sibling mature before our eyes. Not sure how, two years ago, at age 9, you were able to see that she had this in her.

I know, right? Like I’ve wondered, what 9 year old decides to walk from Georgia to Maine, away from family for months? And she is surely maturing before our eyes, day by day. You’re a champ, Little Bear!! 💪 (You too, Mama Bear 🫶)

Another awesome video! Great choices on camping in severe storms. We live about 20 miles south of Mt Rogers. On Memorial Day weekend, Grayson Highlands and here at home had severe storms, 70 mph sustained winds, and unbelievable flooding. That line of storms went from here, north to Ohio. If you put your tent in the right place, you're probably just as safe, or more so, and dryer than being in a shelter. I love camping in thunderstorms. The air becomes so clean and charged with Gods energy. Thank you for your videos. May God continue to keep and bless you both!

Watching that storm roll in was awesome. I thought maybe it would miss you, but that didn't happen. I found LBs reaction to your statement/question We're still having fun, to be interesting. Her word was yeah, but her eyes and mouth maybe not so much. Anyway, there's no way the grind wouldn't get to you. Unfortunately it probably only gets harder. I'm sorry. I'm not being very uplifting. But I still believe in you two! I believe if you continue to want it, you'll make it. If you change your minds, that's your business. Happy hiking!

Yes! You are doing great accomplishing very hard things! MB I love how in the last 2 videos you’ve taken comfort in holding Ellie the cat pillow! lol. The dense trail growth has to be tiring and hot. Ahhhh you know it’s been a hard day when Mama Bear 🐻 is holding, Miss Elle!🐱❤️. The trail was definitely hugging you both with all of the vegetation growth. Interesting that the trail is starting to get rocky. Hiking many trails in the Northeast, rocky trails are the norm and so it’s familiar terrain for us. That is the beauty of the AT! So many different topographies, but the changing path never makes it a dull moment! Good morning, Bears! Forever onward young ladies! PS I watch a few other AT thru hikers, 5 Stack, is in Maine right now. The man is a little younger than me but he’s killing it! 🐱🧸🐻🥾⛰️🌅👍

Thank goodness you all made the right decision to hunker down during that storm. You two are such an inspiration to so many especially us old folks who aspire to keep hiking or at the very least, stay active. Those rocks made my feet hurt! Make sure you're getting enough calories..even snacking on a stick of butter, keep adding a good quality olive oil to your meals and snacks for that extra boost. You girls don't have any extra weight to lose. You don't want to start losing muscle 💪 That trail magic was nice too. Stay safe.

That section was one I did not enjoy last year… also overgrown and the trail was rocky with lots of little irritating ups and downs… we spent a small fortune getting a ride into Blacksburg to avoid the rain and enjoyed the town for a night and a zero. We called HB shuttles from that spot you stopped at with the sign and the rocks to sit on near the small parking area. We shuttled out just past War Spur shelter.

600 miles of cool weather = no fast growth of weeds. Now they grow 12 inches a week and old people cannot keep up with maintenance in the heat! The average trail maintenance person is over 65. VERY FEW young people work on the trail. Perhaps YOU can volunteer the next few years after y’all finish? My wife and I took week trail maintenance vacations all up and down the trail and really enjoyed them. You can to!
