Wow what an awesome video. What a way to end a beautiful day with a wonderful sunset on the river. Thank you so much for showing all the history and shops in Harpers Ferry. The church was amazing. I have been watching hikers for several years now and no one has shown so much of the town and inside of the buildings. One of the reasons I watch all the hikers is not only the trail but getting to see all the little communities along the way. Most of the time each hiker shows a different perspective of the AT hike. I really enjoy your journey. Thank you for sharing. God bless and keep on stepping.

What a small world! I've actually met Sunshine. In 2018, my friend Wayne (trail name Defib) attempted a thru-hike of the AT. I had joined Wayne and backpacked with him for a four day stretch beginning at Sam's Gap. His tramily at the time included Sunshine, Spoons (aka Bear Bait), No Name, Silver and others. Btw, he wasn't able to finish his thru-hike that year, but he's back on the trail this year and doing well. He started at McAfee Knob and is now less than 200 miles from Katahdin. After he reaches Katahdin, he'll go back to McAfee Knob and hike south towards Springer Mountain. Good luck and God bless on the rest of your thru-hike, Kelly.

I'm so glad you spent some time in Harpers Ferry. It's one of my favorite places to go. So much history. And kayaking was cool. And the sky! I sincerely hope you make it to the end but if you don't, you still will have experienced more things than most AT hikers, and that's great!

Every other year it seems there is trouble with creeps on trail. Predators have learned AT hikers dont carry and they can terrorize with a hammer. You dont need a gun, till ya do.
