Every single time I am upset THIS is the video I turn to. So many great messages in this video about changing your outlook on life from being negative to being positive. More people need to watch this, it's honestly helped me more than I can express.

Wow, this daily has stuck with me for a LONG time without me realizing it. I remember watching it live with my roommate as we aspired to be GM, but it'd been so long that I'd forgotten where I heard all of this stuff before. Each part is amazingly effective and memorable. Kittens vs Ninja Stars, Baseballs vs Frisbees, and finally being relentlessly positive. I work in customer service and almost daily I think about thanking people versus apologizing. Really happy that KZbin recommended this to me.

Sean helped me so well just by talking. when there were no others to teach me that for me was a positive and logical way of thinking, day 9 sometimes helped out as did other KZbin and internet personalities. Day 9 should do a Vlog, not like walking around with a camera but just a daily video like this Just sitting, talking about life, math, philosophy and tell stories. I think he do great. I would like to meet him someday at MLG or something. Just sit there over a scotch.

It's been 6 years since I first saw this video. I didn't watch Sean, I didn't watch anything remotely close to what he was streaming or uploading, to be honest I'm not even sure how I stumbled across this. But I'm glad I did. It probably saved my life. I still watch this every so often, coming back to remind myself that everything will be ok, that being positive is the key. I'm a lot better lately, but I still struggle with a lot of problems with myself. I don't have a drive, or a goal. I've never had post-secondary education. I don't have the money for it anymore. I can't relate to a lot of things that Sean talks about in his musings, but this.. This stuck with me. Mr Day[9] You will probably never read this. This comment will probably never be read, skimmed over at best. But Sean- Thank you. Thank you for being such a positive person. It helps a lot of people, myself included. And if you, the person reading, are feeling down in the dumps, lost, depressed, angry. It gets better. It does. All it takes is a little patience, and a little positivity. You're strong enough to make it through this. Believe that, and it will be true. Hah. Life Advice from a random guy on KZbin, go figure. Hey, thanks for reading this. Here's a few Steam Keys. I'm sure that, unless you teach a very young grade, a simple utterance of a word once wouldn't be the end of the world. Granted, I'm not you and I don't know how you prefer to teach, but I don't think a word should keep a video like this out of the classroom. Hope your year goes well!

And then, at my bands second concert ever an middle aged lady said to me and my band that we were probably the best unsigned band she had heard in a long time and that made me feel awesome! If you share your music with people I bet you someone somewhere is gonna hear your music and it will change them in some way. Maybe just a little or maybe a lot, any way it is worth it

there are many reasons to keep a friend. you hear of one experience! The friend might not even know what hes doing. Them being insensitive to WHAT hurts other people doesnt automatically mean they enjoy hurting other people.

Sebastian G. youd expect a friend to be decent and think about what theyre saying just a little though. theres a line between accidentally thoughtless and unintentionally malicious. if i accidentally misstep and hurt your feelings, it'd most likely be fine to forgive me, but if that comes as a result of me being blatantly rude without attempt to think about what im saying and the context im saying it in, it's less of a little accidental err in communicating effectively and more an issue of general thoughtlessness and lack of sensitivity in handling conversation

Today I thanked someone who who may have been responsible for firing me. It was not her decision, but she may have had a part in it. But I sent her a thank you for her support and encouragement during the time I did work with her. It felt right and positive and made me feel better. And then I talked to my son, who said to go look at this video, watch it and pay attention. And I did. And I am so happy he did.

Day 9, Your words really helped me... I'm 26 and have to spend Christmas eve alone this year. My mom died from cancer, dad cut all contact with me, and the rest of the family too. My thoughts really drag me down.. You remind me to be happy for the good things; I'm tall, handsome, kind, smart, and girls are interested in me. Not all guys can say that. You've really taught me something valuable. I never say this to anyone, but this video helped change my perspective on life. Thanks man.

My thoughts about this video are that, Sean exhaggurated a bit, if you ask me. A good example is the e-mail comment, because begining to read something negative, subconsciously intreagues you. That's like, basic psychology. You like being criticized, because you can stumble upon something to improve in yourself. So most people will just read through it anyway, regardless of wether they agree upon it or not or take it into heart or not. Furthermore, I believe that it's fine to be positive the best you can, but i don't agree that when, for instance i feel bad about something and like, my day is going horrible I have to put my best mask to trick people into thinking that everything's fine. Let me share something with you that i feel comfortable about speaking publicly. I I hate where I live, in my country of Bulgaria. I hate how the majority of people think here. I hate how everyone around me (University, on the streets, between my friends) just want to grab some drugs and alcohol and just want to shuve them in their system. I lost many friends because of drugs, i lost even more who left this country. There is a statistic that shows that, Bulgaria is not only one of the poorest countries in Europe, but one of the most unhappy places. However, here I am. Sure things could be going much better, but i'm learning many life lessons through struggle and i believe that you can't be a happy fool all the time, i believe that everything happens for a reason and that this reason is always positive. I can honestly say that i'm happy with how things are right now in my life. For even in the darkest of times i can always go home, sulk for 20 minutes and watch Day9 and a couple of other individuals who neve sciese to brighten my day. The funny thing is, that they don't even have any idea that i exist :) Thank you for reading through all this it got really long. You're a champion ! :D

+Ginny Delk Hate to give you a taste of the real world, but as a young adult male even after I've moved out, they are unavoidable. You can generally go about your days as easy as possible and avoid trouble generally, but everywhere you go rude, negative, selfish people who are just plain have a vendetta against normal or positive people will be out there to get you. Even workers or people in service jobs are as well. As in a cashier at the shops might be rude, etc. so sometimes you actually require their service. This is what ignites my social anxiety and agoraphobia - the fear other people are almost out to get me, and usually, notmatter how ccoonfident and positive I look and feel and walk, they do.

yeah. i believe sean really oversimplified a lot of what he was saying and ignored real problems OTHER people could face. Yeah his outlook might have helped him in his life (be aware it also originated out of his experiences in life) but it dismisses so many powerless people by saying that HE did it and HE didnt need luck. it was his relentless positivity and because it got him far it must get everyone else far. This is what happens when someone out of his field plays a public life coach.

This is the best thing I've watching on KZbin that might actually CHANGE WHO I AM! Thank you for reminding me why being positive is so important.

“I’m gonna go fly home to Christmas” is the best line especially cos I didn’t know it was Christmas time when the video was made, like you’re going somewhere that it is just proper brilliant

Sean, I wish I could meet you and shake your hand. People can have the mentality of "Life hates me. Poor me." or "Everything is messed up, sucks to be me." or we can be masters of our own life and choose to react positively, be positive, act positive and always try and be positive about things. Is life a bundle of roses? No, definitely not always. Can we learn from things and be better for them? Absolutely. We can make good choices, be positive to others, be supportive of others. You rock.

Until I watched this video, I hadn't realized how hard I am on myself. I mean, if nobody else is going to brighten my day, and I want a brighter day; why not brighten my own day? Yeah! I am going to go out and treat myself right now. Thank you Day[9]!

I just watched this a second time and it's still totally freaking awesome. Some of the things he says come off a little wierd to me, but I think about the meaning behind it and it really resonates with me.

On a smaller scale, I can use this method of framing things positively to do my calculus homework! For example, " I only have 30 problems to do and if I get started now I will be finished in no time!" Thank you Day[9], you're my hero!!!! =D

At 12:00 you mention debbie downer and how I should not talk to those people. That helped me realize that I'm surrounded by friends and family that encourage me and the only debbie downer in my life is my own head! I'm the only one that's constantly telling me I can't do this or do that. I'm going to be more mindful of my thoughts and try to fix the attitude of my inner voice thanks day9!

Day9 I watch this everytime my depression gets to me and I feel suicidal. It makes me feel motivated to get better. I'm still coping with sadness and general sense of overwhelmingness but I actually feel so happy when I watch your dailies and silly clips. So thank you, you've saved me a dozen times.
