You've got such a great setup. Love that x-aim feature - always wondered why that's not standard on all processors - like owing an excavator without a thumb. For just a couple of guys, you push out a lot of wood. Once that yard is all concreted, Bob's yer uncle, you'll be firing on all cylinders. Don't know how you swing all that new equipment? Is business that good for firewood? Do your parents help you with finances? Or is this all by-the-bootstraps? Regardless, it's clear you're going to be a success in life - you've got business smarts.

We don't know much about European processors. What country is Palax from? What does model C mean? What does 750 mean? What diameter logs? What are some of the blade characteristics? Was this a purchase or loan? Why did you purchase another processor? Will you operate both processors simultaneously? How much do they cost? Is the firewood market relatively strong where you are compared to 2015 to 2019? You could tell us in the next video. It looks like you are developing your business. Are you wanting to increase production? How long have you been doing this? Why are European processors better? Have you been able to get enough timber?

Some info of the Palax C750, Palax made in finland C750 = Circularsaw 750mm blade max. diameter of wood 30cm.

@@oakfarmfirewood yes Good answer. I am not a regular viewer. When you are doing these, have in your mind who you are doing them for, a particular person or a defined group. That will give you a target to shoot at. If you have a large following, few have processors. Think about it from our perspective --- why are we watching. You are welcome to do it however you like. I am in the USA and I watch many firewood channels. What I like about your channel is that it is in another country and in English. Your equipment is better than ours. I call them side-puncher splitters. Do you have a generic name for them? Personally, I am aware of the 2.2 second cycle time that varies according to the load. Your model numbers are more sensible than ours.

Cleaner tray was probably designed that way as if the conveyor was higher/steeper the bits might not have missed the tray

If the cleaner was flatter the logs can stop and build up, I could have dropped the shoot but filling ibcs it’s a bit tight. I see where you are coming from though

Myself and most people i know, bolt on a block of wood to the log stop to shorten the minimum length (might be a easier way to do it imo).

I dont know if its possible , but you could perhaps , excavate a spot for the new processor so that it sits on the other side of the log deck (where it normall sits )so you just swop the hydraulics over or even just run the log deck in reverse off the big machine via remote

Just cable tie/screw on a block of wood to the stop on the palax to reduce the cut length by 5cm, don't go cutting into a new machine!

Great set up Archie - love the Palax. I looked at the 1000 before buying Tajfun mainly due to back up being better where I live but will go to circular saw when I trade in as daily maintenance is a pain with bar and chain. Great job 👍

PS - run a bit of oil on your deck chains.

@@mathewmaguire2487 Oil collects dirt. Why would you want to put oil on the deck chains?
@mathewmaguire2487
@mathewmaguire2487 6 ай бұрын
@@jakebredthauer5100 in my experience the deck chains last longer with lubrication and the grit on logs will not penetrate the link. Once the chains have been running for an hour you cannot see any residue of grit or oil etc - however you have lubricated the link enough to extend the life of the chains which are not cheap.
