Corie, I'm a follower you already know I've got a story for you. I laughed when I saw the monkey. It reminded me of something my late husband and I would do. It all started one day when he was sitting now watching TV and he was always so engrossed in the TV that I could be talking to him or hand him something he wouldn't even pay attention. He got back from work one day and when he had showered he sat in the living room and I brought him his plate of food. He asked me for a spoon with his meal so I got up and went in the kitchen to get him a spoon and the first thing I saw when I opened the drawer was a little tiny green measuring spoon, maybe like for an eighth of a teaspoon. I started giggling cuz I thought... I'm going to give him this and see what he does... but I had another spoon with me also. So I walked into the room, he never looked at me, he just reached out his hand and I handed him the little spoon and when he looked down and saw the tiny spoon he said "what the heck?" and started laughing. So it was on, from that time on he would hide it in a place that I would find it and then I would hide it in a place he would find it. The last time we did the spoon thing was about a week before he was killed in a motorcycle accident. I had taken the little spoon while he was taking a shower and put it inside his underwear in the little flap for the men's underwear and I thought he would feel it right away. The next morning he got on his motorcycle and headed to work. He stopped at a gas pump to gas up because something was bothering him in his underwear. He said he probably looked like a pervert reaching down into his underwear to see what it was and when he pulled out that little spoon he said he had the giggles all the way to work that day because I had really gotten him that time. I'm so glad we did that because I have those memories. So y'all keep that up I think that's awesome

Hi Corie, Mmm, Yumm! Looks delicious! The French way of "cleaning pans" is, after the meat is done, remove the meat to a bowl and cover, then put a half cup or so of water or wine into the pan, briefly turn the heat up high and reduce that "liquor" down by half or down to one-third until it begins to thicken. Then, off the heat, add a knob of butter and stir to "emulsify". And there you have it! Your instant, savory sauce! That way, you've captured those carmelized flavors in the sauce and got a clean pan to boot! Keep them savory meals a comin'! God bless!

Definitely different from Mississippi, but still smooth and southern with a some roundness to it and not a little harsh and clipped like some around the WV panhandle where we have a facility that I visit. Corie, check out Arce Homestead. She saves everything and cans and pickles and preserves food. She is interesting. And cans any kind of veggie or fruit she has. She mixes up a lot of meals and puts in teh freezer. She grows several types of garlic. One is called Elephant garlic. they get big!. She dries teh garlic and puts her garlic in the blender, and makes her some garlic powder. Katy, do you or have you ever tried using any of the agate stones thats found in KY creeks? If there was some way to slice the rock and make a medallion in a sense. Or a broach. The buck. We had a 6 pointer come thru this morning on the trail cam at the corn pile. That buck was sniffing him out a doe! They running them! We have had a momma raccoon on the cam and she has brought her 6 babies.,.Cuteness overload. My daughter wants to trap them and "pet" them..naw...She done had a run in with a possum, thinking she could pet it and she has the scar to prove it! That possum did not play possum and he wasn't playing at all! She don't got good sense! We just got a new Hobby Lobby in Forest City...It opened Nov 14th..I ain't been, if I did, I would break teh bank! I want to start making beaded jewelry! Like the indian looking beaded earrings...long hanging earrings. My eyes aint working well this morning..everything is blurry...do yall go places to sing, like at churches?

Hobby Lobby for me is always buying supplies, raw metal sheets, tubes, square stock, leather binding (Should make my own) paints, inks, pencils, markers, pastels and all of it I can get cheaper mail order but there is something about being there and the brain telling ya, "I Need This". The crafty things are on sale are neat ideas, cute things but the quality isn't great and I say to myself,,, I can make this myself better, but my rule is not to copy something so I never get around to think of a similar things idea in time and forget. Starting taking photos but forget to look at my phone,, Ha ha. I work in stone myself but rule number two is no power tools, all hand files and abrasive stone for shaping, working and polishing. It's my way of honoring the stones energy,,, hmmm-yeah really, don't laugh,,, ha ha. Have a brilliant day ladies and mom.

It's so funny, I was just in a Hobby Lobby last night to get Christmas lights :D I always like things like hiding something for someone else to find. About eight or nine years ago I played a New Years gig with some friends, and I don't know where it came from but one of us found a little strip of painters tape. The way the gig worked was that we rotated who was on stage all throughout night, so we started putting this piece of tape on the each-others stuff while they played, they would see it and put it somewhere else, this went on all evening. Well the last place it was snuck onto that night was the side of the guitar case I had with me. So I excepted the outcome, and it is still on that guitar case to this day, haha! I too like eating raw garlic, I have since I was a child :) The food looked delicious! And it is always great to see what Katie is working on! Those stones are beautiful! Thank you foe another fun 'Day In The Life'!

I just found your channel and I am lovin it! I love your accents.I am from Oklahoma and I guess we have our own accents but I'm always intrigued by people's dialect. The monkey was fun, the singing was amazing, and your trips to town are always fun too! God bless and have a happy Thanksgiving!
