My dad always used crickets and worms for fishing. I love fishing in Cherokee. I don't fish much anymore. My dad passed away in April and my mom passed 16 months before him. They both so loved fishing, camping, & boating. I miss them so much. Always be thankful for your parents

I had a 2009 with navigation, sunroof, 6 disk CD player and I had it 9 years. Those are the best and I miss mine. I only had 100k on mine when I sold it last year. The only thing it didn’t have was Bluetooth. You made a great choice.

Nice car Katie, it should last you many years. In the last 2 years I’ve put 3 front ends on my wife’s car and 1 on my daughters and they still keep going. Them ladies are deer slayers. That fishing spot looks good, the last good trout fishing I’ve got to do was about 10 years ago on the reservation near the Koa campground in Cherokee. I hope to go back and do it again, not very good trout fishing here where I live. God bless.

Here's how i think about it: sure the Granny women did things their way, and it "sufficed" but like with anything where ways to do things better have been discovered over the years, "when we know better we do better." Those 7 words have become a motto in my life. Also keep an eye on the lid of the jar that you put the vinegar based cleaner in, vinegar will rust that metal. Put a piece of wax paper between the jar and lid to keep the vinegar off the lid.

We use a mixture of vinegar, salt, and dish soap as weed killer. It works very good and is much better for us and the environment. As far as trout fishing, I’ve always had success using a size 6 or 8 treble hook, hang it under a bobber, use canned corn and commercial salmon eggs. The pink ones. Use a small bobber they can pull down easily.

I had the Honda CRV 2019 and it has one of the best and most durable engines on the market. Good choice. One transmission in that car can last up to 500,000 miles. You won't need a new car for a long time.

First, duckies and geese make fishing twice as hard, but ten times more enjoyable. Making the tincture in a stress free manner the way it's always been done in your beautiful mountains just makes more sense to me. I fished a stream like that in Blairsville, GA. Caught 2 small trout. Back near Atlanta, there used to be a Rainbow Trout Ranch with ponds of different sized fish. So easy to catch on corn, but I think its not there anymore. I had a blast with my son as he always caught fish.

On the 4 runner drain the transmission, if the oil doesn't have metal replace the filter and sump gasket, refill and level when warm with engine running. If it is flashing a train failure light, get it scanned, could be a solenoid or speed sensor.

Love Katie's new car! That's really nice. Now you can take your time fixing up your truck. The leak may be coming from a bad seal. Corie, you're really getting the hang of casting! I enjoy watching y'all fishing...brings back good memories of daddy taking mama & us girls fishing. We always had such a good time! I think it's neat you're trying your hand at making tinctures. Anything natural is way better than the stuff you buy. My grandma & mama used natural stuff for a lot of ailments when I was growing up & I did some when I first got married. But then having our son & working full time took away from me getting to do that. You probably know this, but if you put lemon slices in a bowl of water, put it in your microwave & let it run a couple minutes, all you have to do is just wipe out the microwave! No scrubbing or harsh chemicals! Is y'alls parent's anniversary on the 10th? Today is my 64th birthday, too! So if that's the case it's nice to know I share that with them! Please tell them Happy Anniversary & pray God blesses them with many more happy years together & many more popsicle breaks! I so enjoy watching y'all & your mom...I feel like I'm with family!
