I had a blast at the car show, seeing all the classic cars makes me wish I had one! The car show was at the local elementary school where our Uncle Paul is principal and he puts the show on every year. We've had some pretty cold weather here lately and finally had a fire in the stove which we have enjoyed a lot. We had a nice restful Christmas and are having fun starting new projects. I had an old 57 ford step-side. Loved that truck!!!!! Had it for 8 years. Sold it to my old neighbor for $200. so I could feed my kids and dogs.... couldn`t find a job for months.....

Thank you for this heartwarming video. The snake needed to go down the hole, because it cannot generate body heat. The temperature below the sod is a little warmer than the air above. Putting the snake under a rock does the animal no favors at all. They need to be underground when the air is cold. Best thing to do, is let them be when it's cold outside.

I’m amazed for such young ladies, you both have an air of maturity that is more at home with your parents’ generation as far as hobbies, enjoyment of older music, and daily activities. Golden Girls stays on our TV every morning and when we sign off. One of the best shows then and still today. The writers were well ahead of their time. I love the sweater Corie and Katie sharing both your talents. Loved the car show, brought back many memoires of my husband and I dating in the 60s. We met when we were 16. 1966. We dated for eight years and got married in 1974. Been together for over 56 years total. What else, I do enjoy your channel and seeing all the different areas of cooking, driving, music, shopping, family, holidays, etc. Keep up the wonderful way of life that most folks have lost. I really enjoy the "Day in the Life of" videos. Sounds like you all had a great Christmas. I had to laugh when Katie said she really liked getting rocks for Christmas. Those looked like very special rocks to me. I would love to see a video on wood carving. That little owl is just precious. We've had owl boxes in our yard for many years & have seen many families of Screech Owls raised & fledged from our owl boxes. Things like that are dear to my heart. Corie, your sweater is so very, very pretty. Makes me want to take up crocheting/knitting now that I'm retired & have more time on my hands. God bless you two & your entire family.

Rue McClanahan was born in Healdton, Oklahoma. I went to school with her niece - from grade school thru graduation. Rue was quite the character. It's interesting to look back at her life from a tiny little oil town all the way to Hollywood and New York.

Hi girls! I am soon to be 57 years old. I love "The Golden Girls" to this day. I am plumb tickled that y'all appreciate the show as well. I especially enjoyed hearing your college routine. I wanted to share mine. I lived on campus during college in the 1980s so the student center figured heavily in my college experience. I grew up watching "Days of Our Lives" with my mommy and my mamaw. Anyway, during my college years Days of Our Lives had s story line about the romance Bo Brady and Hope Williams. There were a bunch of us that were totally captivated by this story line. I don't know about the other people that regularly gathered in the student center at 1 p.m. every weekday and watched Days of Our Lives, but I can tell you that I actually planned my schedule around having that break to watch the show. Such good times! Anyway, love your channel and Celebrating Appalachia. I appreciate you sharing with us. I am thrilled for your family and the upcoming babies. My youngest daughter had her first baby right after Christmas.She was 5 lbs 8 oz, the tiniest baby I ever held in my life! My baby was brilliant during delivery, an absolute trooper and is the best mommy. Her baby has had some feeding issues due to a health concern that will be addressed this month, but she is growing and thriving. My baby girl has become the mama bear mother every child deserves to have in their corner when there's an issue to be addressed. I have no doubt that your babies will be likewise blessed. My youngest granddaughter's name means "My God has answered" because He truly has. I know that you know that He has and will for you and yours too.

Thank you for replying to my comment on your video. I was born in Asheville. I basically grew up all over Buncombe country. I graduated from Reynolds high school in 1982. I miss my mommas cooking so much. Your mother reminds me of the awesome food my momma cooked for us back in the day. I don't have but a few family members left now and I sure wish I did. Only memories now of the good days I thought not very much of back then. I sure miss them now. Thank you for being so kind to me. I wish I had a loaf of my mommas cornbread or eating banner sausage gravy for Breakfast. God I miss my momma. God bless you people. You always make family number one and I can only look forward to seeing my mom in heaven someday. My oldest brother refurbished cars, he had a couple corvettes, GTO, and 57 Chevy. My grandpa had a rock shop in the UP for 20 plus years in Christmas Michigan. He had a sign that said" Rock hounds never die they just slowly petrify" 😊 Thank for sharing and memories.

The Golden girls were on when, I was in High School, I think everyone loved that show, part of it to was everyone that grew-up in the 70s were familiar with them and, knew these ladies together doing a show would be funny. There was always a cheesecake in the fridge for those late nights, it would be hard to stay out of that cheesecake before midnight came. It looks like you didn’t get a whole lot of snow neither, but, just enough that it fogs things up and, where you get those cold howling winds.

My daughter absolutely loves the Golden Girls. Betty White and Maude were her favorites. I enjoyed them too, but Lucy was my favorite show. They don’t make good tv shows like those any more.
