One of the reasons I decided to become a realtor is I hated working for someone making the same money regardless every week. There’s no cap in real estate and you make your own hours

My fear in this industry is showing houses alone. Any recommendations on how to get over that?
@NicoleConnell3 жыл бұрын
They offer a bunch of realtor safety classes. Also, I always try to meet me client first before showing them a home so you can feel more comfortable if you do find yourself in a position along showing a home. I will sometimes take my husband with me and he will sit in the car if I ever go to areas I feel unsafe or meeting someone new. It's not something I would say you should get over but something us women unfortunately need to be more cautious about in this industry.

Great content! I would like to ask you what do you recommend to new agents to work with? Sellers or buyers? Which process is more complex in terms of listing or preparing a contract for a buyer? Thanks in advance.
@NicoleConnell3 жыл бұрын
I say they both have their difficulties. I started off with buyers as they are easier to find especially in this market. Once you write a few contracts it gets a lot easier. Listing appointments and landing the listing I think is the hard part of listings. I'd recommend diving into both when you can.

I have a question. For any real estate agent seeing this! I’m trying to obtain my bachelors at the moment. With that being said, i’m not completely full time. I was planning on getting my license over the summer, and take my exam whenever my application is approved. So my question is, do any of y’all think it’s genuinely possible to be semi-successful real estate agent and be a college student? Do I really have to choose one or the other?
@NicoleConnell3 жыл бұрын
Hi! At first I would stick to doing both if you are able. If you had a plan to get your masters don't stop that for your real estate career fully just yet - it will be nice to have something to fall back on just in case. You can definitely be successful doing it part time as long as you put good hours into prospecting and trying to get business. I worked a 9-5 and did real estate on the side for about 7-8 months before I decided to take on real estate full time so it is definitely doable!

Hey I’m working on my course online right now to be an agent had a couple questions what online course did you use or did you do it in person? I’m doing mine online with real estate express besides whatever course you used to pass the state exam what else did you use to study anything else to give any tips on passing the final state exam? Love the video gave me a good insight on a daily life of an agent also can you clarify this haha j in heard what you learn on the course you don’t really you any of it in the field on the actual job because I know it’s mostly laws your learning I know you do have to retain some of that information but is anything on the course really used in the reap life field do you still have to learn new things from your brokerage on what you actually do as a real estate agent? Lol or you just learn as you go? Lol seems kinda crazy but yeah sorry for the long comment lol

Hey! I did my course in person and the Real Estate Institute of RI. All states are different but just make sure that the course your taking is from an accredited school because there are definitely some scams out there. I study all the practice quizzes in the book and also used prepagent.com. (I have a whole video on how to prepare for the exam that you should check out! You learn a lot in class that I myself havent typically needed to know out on the field, however, it's always good to know. I learned A LOT once I joined a brokerage and a team. I recommend finding a team who focuses on helping new agents!
