I worked at Walmart for close to 10 years. One thing that was depressing that I tried not to think about too much was the amount of money from my Walmart paycheck that went back to Walmart to buy food and necessities. If you think about it too much, it almost seems like you live for Walmart. They pay you and then your money goes right back into their pocket so you can keep the cycle going.......................

How much would i earn if i worked in Walmart? I worked in Checkers Hyper Retail store in South Africa for 2 years. We earned R22 an hour, which is $1.2 dollars an hour. Just curious, how much is rent in America for a 1 bedroom and does Walmart pay enough for you to have food, housing and electricity. Because in my country you earn enough to pay half of your rent then all your money is done. So no food, no electricity, no water, and half your rent which means you homeless. So we earn just enough to pay for some bread with magrine. The only way i have been surviving is because i buy and sell on facebook. And hussle for money.

@@deonkriel1901here in new jersey it is about 1000$ little less if ur lucky or more , average jobs are about $15-$18 a hour which is enough to pay for everything u need to survive rent is once a motnh

I think you are destined for better things than Walmart. You have a darn good work ethic, especially striving to be early. Plus you have a big advantage being bilingual. With your cash handling experience, you could probably start being a teller at a bank. The hours would be much more regular.

Wrok as a Cashier been there for going on almost 4 years I believe. Being a cashier can be very tiring than what people think, lol. Constantly dealing with customers, standing on your feet barely moving from your spot, and just straighten out things around you just to bypass some time. Though I also help stock up the frontend when we have stuff come in. And if we have a day where our cart pusher aren't there they sometimes send me out there to do it for a few hours until the cart pusher that comes in later is then in.

I use to work at Wal-Mart for 7 years, I always thought I'd get a better job and it wouldn't be a grind. I finally made it through nursing school to find out, it is still a grind. You might make a better wage but it's always a grind.

I been thinking of working at my Walmart because my job has nothing but dudes and the job isn’t interesting to me anymore. It’s hard ass work too I get good money but it’s boring. The hours are consistent that’s the only thing I like. Looks like Walmart has horrible work schedules man.

@@2Ezyy80the managers are terrible. They mess up the schedules then it’s hard to see them to fix the schedule. I think they know the schedules are messed up so they hide. The customers in my store the are rude and demanding. We get a lot of Hispanic people and they don’t speak English. In general it is a crappy place to work. Oh yeah I forgot about no benefits until you are promoted to full time which only happens in a blu moon. I stuck it out for 2 years. I don’t care how much they pay I would never go back there. I don’t know where you live but the Walmart here is always busy. There is barely breathing room before the next customer.

Retail employee here from europe, I will say your lunchroom is large and the store looks clean overall unlike at my workplace toilets barely even get cleaned. If your feet hurt at the checkout you should start exercising or stretching more, that helped for me.

I work Walmart since all my Life since I graduated in 96 I love the job ❤ I always leave then come back cause I miss it so much I won’t keep doing that the hard part is 🚽 bathrooms breaks ❤ I know all the codes ❤ for produce ❤

Cannot be worse than my experience at Little Caesars in White Lake Michigan. I get to walk past a sign saying we are hiring at $15 hourly, and work in understaffed conditions (among other things) making less than $15 hourly.
