I have been training 10-hours a week for 13 years with kids and a full time job. Some of us can balance it all, other can’t. I have an amazing life and I would not have done it any differently. You have to follow your dreams

Yup. This is pretty much my life too. Early morning runs when family is asleep, work, afternoon run after work (marathon training), and spend time with family the last part of my day. Only difference is that I’m currently a 2:42 marathoner 😆😭

I’m shocked that you get so much hate for just being a cool runner guy. I have a ton of respect for you. I’m a new engineer too and have a puppy to occupy by myself. Seems to me like you’re crushing it. Keep it up 🔥

Really cool to see your balance. I am 18 y/o working full time while running 65 - 75 miles per week training for a marathon and it is definently a challenge to manage running, work and girlfriend.

I love your time management, definitely something I have to look up to. Still try to become a morning runner too.. since worktimes only allow that type of running. Super trainers like the SC trainer, prime x2 etc. seem to work kinda good for me in the morning... you know, heavy legs, still tired joints :°)

When do you eat lunch? Love the content btw. It's fun seeing you and Adam collab. Also, honest question: when do you find it okay to run on high school tracks? Before school? At lunch? As long as they aren't using it for practice? Great vid! Can't wait until the next one!
@mottesen_runs
@mottesen_runs 11 ай бұрын
I appreciate the kind words! I just eat my lunch cold as I start work again. I just put it down in the first 10 minutes of working lol. For the high school tracks, my rule of thumb is that if the gate is open and you're not in anybody's way, it seems to be fair game. This track is almost always open and empty during my lunch time. If it's useful to know, there is a closer track from my work that is locked up. we reached out to the school and told us to stay off if it's locked, so I avoid that track.
