With a time like this you should definitely consider running the original route of the Marathon in Athens Greece. You have good chances of winning it... It's not a major marathon like Boston but it has it's own unique history!

Do you have any advice on how to find a running coach😊
@mottesen_runs2 күн бұрын
I think I may not be the best person to direct you in finding a coach.. But I would recommend taking the time to get to know the coach beforehand to be sure that you trust them!
@joekendall72653 күн бұрын
I wonder if you have any grandparents around to maybe take the kids for a half a day every now and then and you could squeeze some naps in. Completing that type of mileage on 5 hours sleep a night is brutal and you would have to think unsustainable. Good luck to you mate, I believe you will smash the 2.13 barrier through sheer grit and determination.

What time do you wake up, go to sleep? How long does it take you to get ready in the morning to get out? Do you have coffee before you run?
@mottesen_runs4 күн бұрын
Haha I should go into more detail on this next time. But I’m awake at 5:00, out the door running at 5:15. Getting ready for the day is about 15 minutes from 6:30-6:45am. I don’t drink coffee. If I have the choice I go to bed around 9:00. But wife works later and I’ve had to help with the baby. So lately I’m getting to bed after 11:00 almost every night. Sometimes later - but it’s just the season of life with a newborn.

I never tried the Fuel Cell Rebel v1 or v2, but the v3 was the first running shoe I’ve loved in about eight years. I was so relieved to find it! It’s become an all-time favorite: fast, nimble, super light, not too firm or soft, great for daily training, and legitimately lasts 100-200 miles longer than any shoe I’ve ever worn! I just ran my first 5 miles in the v4 and I’m SO disappointed!! It has a higher stack height and the sole is a centimeter wider under the forefoot than the v3. I felt like I was tripping over my own feet. Most of the extra width is in the sole, but the upper is wider, too. My feet are average width-wider at the forefoot and more narrow in the heel. The v3 fit like a glove. The v4 feel overgrown and sloppy like every other shoe out there right now. I’m so over this era of huge soles on running shoes. I find a shoe that I like, then the company beefs up the sole on the next version-sending me back to the drawing board to find a new brand/model. Somebody please make it stop!!! 😢

Love the humor, especially the outtakes/bloopers that are left in 😂. And the underlying content of watching an elite athlete train and perform is what keeps us coming back.
