If you're in Vic, would highly recommend booking one of Scott's classes they usually include a tour of the garden. So more enjoyable🙂

Great video Scott ! Beautiful tree. I have a shohin Hinoki grown from a cutting the past 7 years. I love it but it’s nothing compared to yours.

Great work. I'm curious about that adjustable work surface you are using. I would love to get me one like this. How is it called and where did you buy it?

@@barzalou they’re a motorbike lifter. Have a search and they might be in your local area. I did get some of mine off eBay from different sellers. They’re really great.

Wow, welcome back. I have been listening to your podcast a lot and always wished it was in the video format so I can see what you are doing. But I do appreciate both formats so I have something to listen to on the way to work. Thanks for taking the time to make the videos and podcast. Love it. Btw, what type of hinoki cypress is this? It can't be the nana gracilis because the nanas grows incredibly slow. Is this the tsuyama?

Thanks and there’s plenty more to come too! Not exactly certain of the type as there are so many. It grows really well and I only look to prune once a year unless it is going to a show.

Does this pruning technique also apply to Sekka Hinoki?
@BonsaiMatsu10 ай бұрын
I’d think with the smaller foliage of the Sekka you wouldn’t need to prune as much as this variety and you will be pruning the branch shoots. I’m sure you could if needed but their growth is a little different
