I read somewhere that a typical GP can have 1700 to 2000 patients on there books. If you were in a situation where only had 400 patients on your books and most patients were 18 to 55 years old, presumably you would have plenty of free time on your hands . In that hypothetical situation, what would you do with your free time in terms of additional support to your 400 patients. (such as organising diet plans, reviewing genetics, mental health reviews, monitoring vitamin levels or anything else to optimise the health of the patient ? ( i recently came across the story of the ancient Chinese doctor that was only paid when his patients were healthy; with the incentive of optimising patient health I wondered what the doctor was doing to ensure his patients kept as healthy as possible.). All the best !

Good Day :) Big thanks to this video. As an IMG, I hope I would be as successful as like you (also, having the work-life balance like running). I would like to inquire if the cases you handle there in the UK as a GP involves cutting-specialty skills since to be honest, I'm not that good when it comes to skills as compared to theoretical knowledge. Hoping for your response ASAP and take care always!

When I had my first dose of my COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer/BioNTech), the injection itself wasn't painful. But some time later, it was very painful. Felt as though I'd received a stab wound in my upper arm. But it was better the next day. Second dose, similar experience, but not quite as bad as the first time.

I haven't got a single positive thing to say about my own GPs and surgery. If you heard my story you'd be disgusted...one would hope. For better service, I wish there'd be more GP surgeries but taking on less registered patients. I've been going to the same place for almost 20 years and every day I speak to someone (even the unkind, rude receptionists) it's like they have amnesia and are meeting me for the very first time. I cannot tell you how exhausting it is to keep repeating complicated health issues and trying to go through detailed, chronological health history over and over and over and over again. All in five minutes. With a total stranger. Again. Something has to change. Both for overworked doctors caught in an increasingly appalling system rife with communication problems and for patients who just want to be HEARD-- and helped.
