First off, thank you for sharing!!!You made me laugh!!! Yes, with my firmer airline, I carried the "Big Flight Bible"!😅😅 We, my former airline, had to update information every month. Taking out pages and then putting new pages in the "Flight Bible". Everyone packs thier roller board differently. I had started to carry my laptop with me about a year after starting flying. I had two luggage pieces like you but then when I took the Purser Leadership class, I got another luggage piece from that class. So, I started putting my laptop in the that Purser luggage. And yes, I hear from my friends who still fly that there is not more of the Flight Bible to carry!!! It was heavy to carry. But the rollerboard had the separation large pocket it to put it in. Also, I know the Pilots were soo glad not carrying their Flight Bibile!!! And it was nice to see that all that information is now on a computer tablet. Well, I have family and close friends in Redondo Beach. But I use layover just up the road in Santa Monica. And I had F/As who lived there!😊

Well, again congrads to you and I hope you are able to bid for the schedule that you want to fly. Yes, San Francisco and San Diego is cool as well. So, today, Wednesday, I guess it is about 11 or 12 degrees above zero!! Geezz!!😮😮 The last few days have been too too cold!!!!!😮😮 And yes, many of use Flight Attedants and Pilots still take the Blue Line to work!!😅😅 I get off at Jefferson Park. Furthermore, like you I am not a morning person either but those first couple of years of flying were hard with those early morning starts!! 😮 I needed Starbucks coffee in any airport all the time!!😅 😅 When I use to bid my work schedules for the next month, one month holding your choice of a trips and one month on reserve in the first two to three years, I would select afternoon or evening trips to start my days. Sometimes I got those work times and other times I did not. But I noticed that after my first three year my reserve months the starting times would be in the afternoons. I was glad!!!So, it was my seniority that started to hold afternoon starting times and evening times also. Along with my F/A job, on my days off, I had my part-time hotel jobs in my first three years and I worked the afternoon to evening shifts of 3pm to 10pm or 11pm. Yes, extra pocket money for me with my F/A career.😅😅 I use to fly with another F/A and he became a Real Estate Salesman then a Broker later. And another F/A was a nurse. So, many of us do hold other part-time jobs while having have this flying career. And I have heard of F/As becoming Pilots as well.

Yes our bags are not checked. We go through our own employee line and bypass security so we’re allowed to bring full liquids, gels etc.

That’s very kind of you we always appreciate pax who bring us gifts! For a flight like that their is at least 8-10 flight attendants so a dozen donuts from kirspy kreme or dunkin, starbucks gift cards, I’ve had people bring me tortilla chips and salsa dip which I absolutely loved! So almost anything really! But a hard hitter is donuts/sweets and coffee gift cards
