What a gentle way to learn! We're so grateful our grands are homeschooled. It takes a lot of dedication from both parents. The oldest visited colleges last summer. Amazing how fast the time goes. School started last Thursday. This is the first year that I was not greeting high schoolers while out doing hall duty. It's been nearly a year since I was forced to retire (Sept. 2) so this is my first year of not starting school since Aug. 1992. It has been a strange month. The Girl Scout troop (K-5 grade) that I am a co-leader of started up again today. We took most of the summer off. We were missing a lot of our Daisys today. Last year, we had 11 girls (7 Daisys and 4 Brownies). Right now, we have 15 registered girls. I forget how exhausting little girls are but I love working with them.

I really enjoyed this even though I am a grandma. I would really be interested in the card games/board games (geared especially to your youngest) as I am tired of buying toys and would rather get them that for Christmas. Love your channel and your so calm way of speaking. You bring my anxiety down from a 10 to a 5!

For the couch and furniture rubbing on the wall, you can add a chair rail to the wall. Personally I don’t like the look of chair rails. Years ago when I worked in a youth residential treatment facility, we had 6-8 inch long sections of 4x6 or 6x6 pressure treated wood. It was leftover from a deck that was installed. We glued left over carpet or cut up rugs to the blocks. Then we put them behind the couch legs and against the baseboard. The couch was a little bit away from the wall so the back of the couch wouldn’t bang into the wall. The carpeted blocks could be moved when you vacuum or rearrange the furniture. Kids and teens are hard on furniture and tend to “fling” themselves on the couch when they sit down.

Rebecca, you are awesome on the skateboard. When my sisters and I were little, we also rode skateboards. We would do a 180 and a 360 turn. Took us a lot of practice. We loved it. Seeing you brought back those memories. Thank you ❤

Gf, dairy free pancakes or wafgles can be super easy with great value brand mix. I hacked the recipe. 4 eggs, 4 Rounded T mix, 3 blurbs of oil, 3 faucet on, faucet off splashes of water. High protein, much lower carb and somply delicious

I love how you helped with bathroom counter but thought he could've wiped counter down. What about a basket or 2 for items that stay on counter to make easier for them to remove to wipe counter, just a thought. You do so wonderful with all your children!

We had 2 dogs until this march when one passed away ☹. . We also have 6 dog beds in our house! We couldn't part with any because they shared and we didn't want to confuse our remaining dog. She uses them all! 😊

Wow Érica! You have a busy life. Thanks for sharing and letting us into your home. I really enjoyed this video. I have 2 grandchildren 1 and 3 yr. Olds. When they visit they have energy. I just lost my dog a month ago she was 15 years Old. Had her since she was 7 weeks old. My emotions go up and down. Watching family videos makes me smile. Blessings

It was so refreshing to hear the snippet about chores. I feel the same way. I want my kids to take part in the house because they are a part of the family, not because they're getting paid for it. I feel like that's setting them up for the "what's in it for me" attitude. When they're older no one's going to be paying them to do their own housework, so I'm not going to set up that expectation now.

Good job! I remember considering homeschooling my two children but this was before computers and it was harder to find community back then....even our church wasn't advertising an umbrella possibility....so I gave them to the government to school, thankfully it was the eighties and it didn't appear to be so nuts. Have you seen "how to faith a life"? She's fun and she too has a bulging bible full of notes.

I know you are a busy momma, but I often feel sad that your daughter seems to be missing out on girl-time hair brushing and styling time with you. I assume the boys go out and get their hair cut. They look sharp! But your little girl (being homeschooled) is missing out on girl’s hair time (and maybe other feminine skills) with friends. Learning to braid and look nice are important skills, too, imo. Teaching dexterity, patience and hand skills, but also TLC and pride in oneself. There are many many fun hair tutorials on KZbin. Won’t you make time to look them up and learn some techniques to pass on to your growing daughter? 🌼🌿
