Awww…it was so lovely to see sweet little Ginger. She is so adorable. I enjoyed seeing your day Lindsay…and that chilli looked so yummy. The one thing about sourdough is , it is a process with a few steps , and keeping the starter alive can present its challenges , but once a person masters the process the possibilities are endless. Between the bread , bagels , pancakes and even the muffins you made with the discard …it all looked delicious and is also so good for you. Thank you for sharing your day with us and your recipes . What a nice cozy day! Your bread looked delicious!!!! When I have trouble peeling my hard boil egg I put it under running water and crack it and attempt to pinch that top clear layer that is right under the shell. I find if that doesn't come off then the shell sticks to the white of the egg and make a huge mess. You're a great mom and you have a great mom. Not only your memories of lovely baked good smells when you came home from school but also how she comes to bring you a coffee and takes the kids to piano-so nice to have a parent close by! Anyway, your dinners always look great and you have so many yummy sides with it-cheese, chips, sour cream-it just adds to the meal! Hope you are having a great weekend! It's been very rainy here too-Toronto.

@@lilyelizabeth9080 thank you, Lily! That loaf of sour dough bread seemed extra good, maybe I was extra hungry! Lol I hate when the shell sticks to the egg, it drives me crazy! I should have run them under cold water and I didn't. My mom is wonderful, I was blessed with great parents! The chilly was great, not Ben's favourite, but he ate it lol. We're all so tired of this rain, it's supposed to be rainy with high winds tomorrow. I hope you have a great weekend! 🙂❤️

I had a mom that baked on the daily too. I have fond memories of coming home after school to those wonderful smells coming from the kitchen and having homemade treats in my school lunches. Yummy! Your sourdough bread looks amazing. I tried sourdough a couple years ago and could never get my bread to look like that.

Your chili, bread and bagels look absolutely delicious!! We love pintos in chili. I usually use them and chili beans. I hope you liked them. Ginger is growing too fast. Animals are so funny sometimes. She sure has claimed the hockey bag as hers! I hope you all have a great weekend ❤

Its always nice to follow you through your day. I really enjoyed seeing you make your bagel's, they looked so delicious and with a loaf of sourdough baked I bet the house smelled delicious. The chili looked good, did you like it with the pinto beans? We are not kidney bean fans, so I always use pinto bean's and we love it that way. Little Ginger is getting bigger, but my gosh she is a cutie pie laying on the hockey bag, it's funny how our pets find their spots and claim them. We are getting ready for our American Thanksgiving coming up next Thursday, we will be going to my daughter's house and sharing the day with Morgan's in-laws, my sister and Derrick's grandfather, it should be a nice day. I'll be bringing a few dishes to share as well, one is requested every year by my daughter and that is mashed carrots and turnips, and then I'm trying out a recipe that is new to us, it's called corn pudding, it seems like a creamed corn to me and then if I have time I'll make some homemade date bars. It should be a nice day. Not much else is going on here, I do have a doctor's appointment early next week, we need to find out why I have begun to shake, if it's not one thing it's another as we get older. Hi Lindsay 👋 😊 It's been raining 🌧 almost every day here in NE Ontario and a high of 6°C but that's supposed to change come Sunday here. Im so over the rain. The more seasonal colder weather will be coming Sunday. Your sourdough bread and bagels look delicious and your chili looks yummy. The house must smell amazing. I put 1 tablespoon of cocoa in my chili, gives it a great taste and I add mushrooms. The everything seasoning is very salty for sure. I add some to my bread machine but I mix mine with more sesame seeds and crushed sunflower seeds to lessen the saltiness. (Bulk Barn)I like to experiment lol so that works for me. My mom used to make homemade bread and pies, cookies, cakes etc the smell in the house after school was welcoming and cozy, so I can relate. Ginger is so sweet 🐶 ❤️ I'm off on Friday's so it's my catch up day. Some housework, laundry, strip the beds, and the bread machine is going, making blueberry muffins, and pumpkin gingerbread loaf today. Spaghetti and meat sauce for supper 😋 The work never ends but it's a labor of love isn't it.❤ We start decorating the house for Christmas 🎄 early December so the kids are excited for that and for some snow. I'll have to go check out the YT channel you mentioned. I love homaking channels. Wishing you a great weekend and a big hello to everyone.😊😢

I bet your house smells amazing too, everything you mentioned sounds delicious, including the spaghetti! I bet your days off are very busy, and you are right, it's a labour of love!! Most of the time I use pinto beans in my chili. Probably because that is what my mother used.

I put whatever beans I have on hand in chili. The last couple of times I've used pinto beans and black beans and it turned out pretty good.

Hi Lindsay 👋 😊 Just a recipe that I have One-Pot Macaroni Cheeseburger Soup (No Velveeta) 🍲 Ingredients: • 1 lb. ground beef • 1 medium onion, diced • 2 cups beef broth • 2 cups elbow macaroni • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese • 1 cup milk • Salt & pepper to taste Instructions: 1️⃣ Brown Beef: Cook ground beef and onion in a large pot until browned and soft. Drain excess fat. 2️⃣ Add Broth: Pour in beef broth and bring to a boil. 3️⃣ Cook Macaroni: Stir in macaroni, cook for 7-8 minutes until al dente. 4️⃣ Add Cheese & Milk: Lower heat, stir in milk and cheddar, cook until melted and creamy. 5️⃣ Season & Serve: Add salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot. Perfect for cozy dinners
