It’s pretty cool to see your lifestyle. I’m 21 years old and literally fell in love with Bangkok Thailand last month. I’m actually visiting in May which is crazy and I already know I’m gonna fall in love with the place, but my ticket out of the US is to go over there on a work visa, my steps on doing that is to graduate school first which I start this year ( major computer science )……. I know it’s going to be a grind but it’s definitely possible plus the company I work with is Amazon I literally went to resources and searched up Thailand, and there it was. not to sound weird, but when I saw your video, I saw myself in a couple short years because I know I can live there lol so I was wondering have you ever heard anything at all about Amazon and how it’s like or just news in general. 😂

I was wondering how many software engineers are working on the teleconsulting apps & websites. How many teams & how many engineers per team, on average? Are the apps & websites already released & running for doctors & patients to use, or is the project still in a pre-release development stage? I find it so interesting how much has changed, since the long-ago days when I was doing sottware development at start-up companies. I remember the many days/nights/weekends, doing 24+ hour stretches of coding & debugging, at the office. My apartment was mostly just used to store my junk, change clothes & take a shower - I pretty much spent most of my waking - as well as my eating & even sleeping - hours at the office. To be fair, though, I did get paid top dollar, the couches were comfortable for naps, and the companies did feed us exceptionally well. And, I really, really enjoyed the work I was doing, which I guess is why I never got into a more mundane 9-5 Mon-Fri job/career. Thanks again for sharing a peek into your life!

Thanks for the comment! I'm more than happy to answer your questions. The product just launched this year. The company is pretty new, but it's under one of the biggest private hospitals, so the resources are quite substantial. The way you describe your work sounds fun and interesting! Thank you for sharing. I can get to know how other programmers work outside Thailand :)

I was also wondering how many of the engineers are native Thai - and graduates of universities in Thailand - and how many are foreigners on a work visa. Just a rough guesstimate - I am not looking for any exact numbers... lol. When you have your meetings, online or in person, are they conducted in Thai, or maybe English? And, with regards to the apps & websites, are the user interfaces & docs written in Thai, English or both, or in other languages? Thanks again for indulging my curiosity! :)

So far, the company doesn't have an expat programmer. The product is applicable in both English and Thai languages. All the docs are written in English. Hope I can answer your question ;)

Your house is very nice! I’ve never seen such a house before. Looks like a combination of a loft and a townhouse or a loft and a detached house. May I know what is the name of this type of house? Saw in another video that rent is $850/month. It is in USD, right? Could I know how large (floor size) the house is too? (I’m from Singapore where most stay in high-rise apartment buildings. Been to Thailand thrice and loved it. I’m exploring the option of working in Bangkok in the future.)

Just curious what tech stack does your company use to develop apps apart from JavaScript, react JS, angular JS ? What's the monthly salary range for a software engineer in bkk ?

We use react native/next/nest and for fresh grad I believe ~800-1200$/month
