there are so many things that i want to change abt my life, like i wanna move away from my little town where there's so little space for opportunities, for a simple but fulfilled life. And the thought that i have to stay here, at least untill i graduate at uni has made me feel so tired and hopeless. But i now realise that even if there are so many adjustments to be made yet, i have to appreciate and be glad for every second that i live. I hate this little town, that's true, but the sun and the moon are the same as everywhere else. I can notice and deeply love the way sunshine lights up the pink roses on the tree that grows where my parking lot is; or the way the rain falls upon the leaves and the sound it makes touching the ground or the rooftop. There's beauty everywhere, you just need the right mindest. Of course you need to work for the things you want, but in the meanwhile you can choose to enjoy the journey and be glad for all the things you have hoping that the things that you want are gonna come to you at the end. I send y'all my love and i wish everyone who'll read these words a very happy and healty life!

Like Jenn says it's about prioritizing yourself. The deeply unhappy ones are the ones who are putting all their energy into their job and who are sending me emails at 2 AM (and they live in the same timezone). The happy ones put in their 8 hours a day, and clock out to go live their life. They have hobbies and they don't answer emails or do work past 5. Your company will not stop you working 80 hours. You have to stop yourself. And don't worry about being laid off or whatever. It will cost them way more to train a replacement. And if you do get laid off, you have a degree in a technical field. You can find another job usually fairly easily and probably with more pay.

try to find a coding job with quarterly deadlines. weekly sprints and daily stand ups are too much and micromanaging. also, save as much money as you can while working in this field.

It depends on what you are into but I'd recommend Stranger Things, The Crown, The Last Kingdom, Lost in Space, and The Good Place for Netflix shows. There's a good variety here. Bridgerton is on my list. Haven't got around to watching it yet. It's nice to see you take time out for yourself.
