Good old Lelystad, I used to live there (in the eighties) before i went to study photography in The Hague. I was really into sailing during my time in Lelystad so i pretty much spent all my free time at het Bovenwater. I'm actually working on a little "now and then" video about het Bovenwater/Lelystad at the moment so that's maybe how you popped up in my youtube recommendations. Anyway really nice content on your channel, thumbs up from an old Dutch guy.

We live in Lelystad! We love it haha. But I think choosing a city is super personal... We love the quietness and the forest! Amsterdam is amazing of course, but it's almost impossible to get a house there!

@@LetsMeetAbroad Thanks for your reply! Our work is more or less similar to what you two are doing and the house we look for is the same. When I saw your video I said could be a good option. BTW as you said it is more personal and I have to search for the city you mentioned.

@@LetsMeetAbroad Yes that too, but I was referring to the fact that you have almost an ideal routine in this era of instant gratification. Early to bed, early to rise. Regular Gym, walks. Daily meditations. Healthy as hell diets. On top of consistent youtube uploads and her having a regular job. That's what I meant by idea 😅

"Netflix and chill" [en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netflix_and_chill] is an Internet slang term used as a euphemism for sexual activity, either as part of a romantic partnership, as casual sex, or as a groupie invitation. Since its first recorded, nonsexual use in a tweet posted in 2009, the phrase has gained popularity within the Twitter community and other social media sites like Facebook and Vine. By 2015, "Netflix and chill" had become an Internet meme and its use on teenage social media was commonly described as "sexual" by Fusion.

Haha but I swear I didn’t mean in a sexual way 😜🤣🤣🤣

And yes I do a lot of back and forth (af en toe) with the vertaler enz as I write. And sort of funny still...my teacher says I still speak dutch with strong German accent. I'm not sure if that is good or bad, but we'll get there. Speaking of accents- now that I am learning Dutch- I can hear the Dutch influence, even after 400 years, on New York English. Dis n dat, dez n dos- When a Brooklyn guy says "open the door" it sound exactly like you would say it in dutch. "Open de doer" The two of you spend sooo much time together. You get along very nicely though. That's nice. Thanks for the view into semi-typical Dutch life. It must be a challenge more for Adi as he comes from quite a different culture. Though you lived in Australia for a good amount of time, which while English speaking, is probably a lot closer to Dutch culturally than India. I felt very at ease during my visit to Rotterdam, but US culture is for the most part western European culture. Though the German capability helped quite a bit.
@LetsMeetAbroad2 жыл бұрын
That’s a very good insight about the Dutch language. Thanks for that. Yes, it is very different that how it is in India and a lot of things are still kind of wired here haha but it’s all good. It is really interesting to see how people live around the world. Nothing is right or wrong. It is just a different way of living as long as people are happy with the lifestyle.
