I found this video while doom-scrolling in a mental breakdown and it was genuinly so helpful seeing someone else feeling a dimilar way but slowly talking me through what could actually help. Got me to actually get up and make breakfast and I plan on doing my studying in the park today to also get some fresh air. Thank you so much!

This is so relatable!! I heard so much of myself in your venting session in the beginning where your mind just spins and spins. When I was getting married, I was entirely overwhelmed and started saying "I HAVE to" for everything. It wasn't until my best friend called me out and said, "Opening the gift I got you for your wedding is not a HAVE to, so we can wait until you WANT to." It was also really cool to see you go through your emotions. You accepted that you were having a tough day, acknowledged it, and then did things to help you feel better. Your content is really authentic and I think that is what people really relate to :) thanks for showing up!!

I have a suggestion- you can just do these vlogs of your daily life- week in my life or something like that? You can feel productive that you’re doing something and we would ENJOY watching you do anything at this point tbh! No but seriously, it’s really refreshing watching an authentic vlog. I hope you get better at dealing with life in general
@morganevelyncook5 ай бұрын
Hahah, I really appreciate that you'd enjoy watching me do anything! I do try to do some vlogs, but the thing about vlogs is you're still filming, you're still storytelling, thinking of transitions, different shots, how things will flow, and good vloggers make this look very effortless, but even when it's just "daily life" there is still effort and thought happening and regular tasks can end up taking twice as long because you're filming them. So, it can be very fun creatively, but when I do it too often it can be very tiring and psychologically a little weird to be thinking of my life like a documentary or a tv show lol. Anyways, that was long-winded, I've got lots of thoughts about vlogging in general, but I do enjoy watching and making them as long as I don't overdo it, so I'll try to sprinkle more throughout!

I found your channel a couple weeks ago because your ten habits to help get your life together was recommended to me. I’ve been going through a really weird period in my life where I’m burnt out and not sure what I’m doing next and I was trying to watch #productivity videos to try and make myself feel guilty enough to do something productive. I clicked on your video for that but that’s not the kind of content that I found. Your videos make me feel seen and I hope you don’t feel pressured by the algorithms to make anything you don’t want to because your videos are already so valuable.

If it makes you feel better I never watch the short form videos on KZbin. I like KZbin videos for the longer content so idk why they are trying to be tiktok right now. I’m sure your shorts are lovely and thoughtful but I wish KZbin would just embrace what it is and what makes it different. I appreciate you making videos like this that are very real and relatable, and all your content in general! Thanks for not giving up!

I found this video when I was in a similar position as you, Morgan. I'm sorry you had a rough time, & I'm selfishly happy that you shared it. I related to SO much of it (physical symptoms, brain spinning with thoughts and feeling like mush, feeling that others are having real problems -- really the list goes on). I am taking your tips to get some sunshine/movement, & reminding myself that rest is productive when I can't do all that I planned to do. Thank you for being yourself, you/your videos/goose content has brought me much comfort time & time again :)

you’re right, you do have a lot going on! but always remember, if something isn’t serving you, let it go. it sounds like short form videos are doing more harm than good for your mental health and also seem like it’s very fickle when it comes to engagement. maybe slow down on how many short form videos you upload in a week and see how that feels. try not to stretch yourself so thin because that will show through in your work as well. listen to your heart and body. anxiety, frustration and overwhelm are ways our bodies let us know when something isn’t right. listen to yourself and trust how you feel. best of luck to you!

I don't usually comment on anything online, but I just really want you to know that I appreciate your videos for their honesty and how much I relate to a lot of it. I'm not on other media platforms, so I've only seen your KZbin stuff and I quite like it. I have a lot of anxiety too, so I really understand how it gets. Also, you can think of taking care of yourself as a business expense. Do things you like and call them 'team building exercises' or something very corporate jargon-y if that helps you not feel bad about it, since you are the entire team. Keep on just being honest about how you're doing and making things that make you happy, and I'll keep on watching! ❤

Hey Morgan!! I discovered your videos not long ago. I *think* I was searching for ways to calm down, being overstimulated/overwhelmed, something like that. I found your "10 *realistic* habits that helped me get my life together (as an anxious 20-something)" video, and was INSTANTLY obsessed! You are so very relatable (even though I'm older, a much bigger size, much smaller income, etc. Haha!)!! I absolutely ADORE your sense of humor and ability to deliver funny lines in a totally deadpan way!! I'm in a season of depression, *mostly* due to situational factors. Whenever I'm like this, I will re-watch my Comfort Videos - some people call this "Emotional Support Background Noise". One of the ways my anxiety manifests is just completely overtaking my thoughts. So, having E.S.B.N. really helps me! I've been replaying your videos for a few weeks (at least) now! I actually created a playlist of all your videos, in chronological order, because KZbin is being a butt, and playing RANDOM - NOT RELATED videos after your playlists. So, if you wanted to make a playlist of ALL your videos, some people (ME) would love that! I'm so sorry you are feeling overwhelmed!! I agree with your therapist. You shouldn't give up, because you do love this. And, while KZbin's requirements/algorithm SUCKS, this won't be forever. There are other platforms. Once you have built a big enough fan base, you can move to your own website, or whatever will work best for you. I'm very proud of you for so many things!! Your vulnerability - and the sense of community you are building with that, your determination, your work ethic, your compassionate and understanding approach to sustainable living (ESPECIALLY teaching us about it!), so many things!! Please keep up the good work!! And that INCLUDES taking care of yourself!! Sending you so much love!!!! ⭐ 💞 🤩 🥳 ❣ 💯 🤗 🥊

Fellow (new) creator here giving unsolicited advice: focus on what brings you profit. That can be in the form of money or joy. Give those tasks 80% of your time. The rest can just happen if they happen. Like you said, it’s not worth the energy if you don’t love doing them and especially if they have little to no pay off. Do it if you’re in the mood. Otherwise give yourself permission to skip or at least cut down the amount you do. Also you have been an inspiration for me to take planned breaks and film in 8 week seasons. I’m just jumping back into posting after a long unintentional break 😅. But to help myself not get burned out I’m planning on doing seasons 🤗

Good lord! Days like these are no easy days. It might not be your worst days, but they are still really difficult to tackle. I was thinking about the shorter form of content you were talking about. I'm not sure if this is helpful at all, but from what I've seen from other creators that I follow, it is not uncommon that they use a snippet from a longer video for a short one. Like taking 30-60 seconds from a youtube video they've made and use it on other social media platforms for instance. Perhaps that could help you produce some of that content with less stress? Anyway. Just wanted to say that I'm sure glad you decided to start making videos. I just found you very recently, but they are both helpful and hilarious at the same time which is quite the thing to manage! Take care.

A “menty bday” is giving “I’m so depressed I act like it’s my birthday every day” 🥲 Anyway based on the things you said you had coming up I would enjoy a video about how you plan for a vacation and deal with the anxiety of so many unknown factors even when it’s something you’re excited for. Maybe that way you could plan and get a video done all in one.

Real question. What happens if you don’t do shorts? Is it worth it to do a thing that causes so much stress if the purpose is making the life you want? 😬😬 I don’t know anything about this actually but I don’t want you to have to do things you really chronically hate (and I never watch shorts so I might just be weird/old).
