10k subs is a big achievement! I hit 500 this year, I can hardly imagine having that many. A little different for me because I don't do vlogs or anything, I do music covers and originals--but I used to make videos a lot more frequently than I do now and I'd like to get back to that place of creative output. I found one of your videos randomly and I really appreciate how real you are, especially with your mental health. I can get burnt out very easily, it's good to know I'm not alone.

Wow I like meditating (including guided meditation), but hypnotherapy sounds awful. I think the stereotypical idea and image of "meditating" is very... Ascetic. Sitting silently, no thoughts. But focused meditation AKA mindfulness is SO GOOD. Jigsaw puzzles and colouring do that. The morning menu sounds similar to how I try to plan my whole day! I identified the non-negotiables dor each day to help me feel good, and one of them is "move"-it's not exercise, so something like dancing to one song counts. I might do this for my mornings and bed time. :)

I feel like most of the things you listed are just trendy, capitalistic social media trends designed to get you to spend more money (supplements, self-help books, etc). So for sure, toss ‘em. But meditation isn’t that… it’s a centuries old spiritual practice that has been empirically proven time and time again to help improve mental and physiological health. If you find meditation hard, that means you’re exactly the type of person who needs it. It’s not supposed to be an easy thing you nail in the first week- it takes a long time to master. And no, you don’t need a “meditation app” or voice to guide you, the whole point is to learn how to be alone with your breath. So if you struggle with it, that probably means you struggle to be alone with yourself. Skirting around that by throwing in a task (a puzzle) so you have something else to think about/do, kind of defeats the whole purpose. Ask yourself why you’re afraid to sit in silence and stillness. Meditation can help you learn so much about yourself, such as harmful self-narratives and maladaptive coping strategies. In your case, you use humor excessively and flippantly to deflect and protect your ego… meditation could actually really help you figure out why you feel the need to do that (if you could let your guard down and actually give it an honest effort).

It’s been empirically proven time and time again that people who choose to leave long condescending comments on strangers internet content are bitter with their own lives. If you find it hard not to do this, then you’re exactly the type of person who needs a good puzzle and some excessive and flippant humor. Perhaps this could really help you figure out why you feel the need to tout your “spiritual wisdom” to strangers on the internet (if you could set aside your pretentiousness for a moment and give it an honest effort) 💛

Lol okay Sidartha, calm tf down There is no single way to meditate. Meditation can be the traditional sitting in silence and focusing on your breathing, but meditation can also absolutely be coloring a picture or a mandala, or focusing on a repetitive or a simple task to clear your mind. Meditation isn’t about emulating traditional tactics passed down by monks, it’s about practicing mindfulness which can be found in any daily task. For someone who claims to meditate frequently and be so in tune with your emotions and mindfulness, you come off as pretentious and ignorant invalidating Morgan’s own practices that work for her.

On the supplement point: I have a liver disorder and have to watch what I consume because of it, and alongside the obvious like alcohol and pain killers, I have to avoid a BUNCH of supplements because they're potentially horrible for your liver! Most notably being ashwagandha, aloe vera, and protein powder, especially whey. Those are super common supplements that people eat a lot of! 😵

I guess what i would offer as my own strategy is accepting that things take time. Dreams and life projects can take months or years, it can take half an hour to get a task done that might take someone else two minutes, it can take a full three days of rest, even if it feels uncomfortable to not be as busy, to recover enough to face down another week. Sleep and the brain cleaning and healing itself through that takes time. You can’t smoosh every little thing into your calendar, things just take time.

Never feel pressured to do something just because you hear it’s good because that’s defeating the whole purpose 1. Meditation/hypno- don’t really work for me, but they are actually 2 different different things 2. Self-help- I loved reading a variety because I was able to learn a lot and try different things and got what I needed, I’m now more selective. I rather watch fiction, which I don’t do that often 3. Screentime- overall is not an issue for me, I do it when I need and want to 4. Affirmations- not a big fan, a lot of times they are fake helping ppl. If you are going to do them, I suggest it’s something about your capabilities or values, not just something hyping you up 5. Journaling- it has been huge for me, but I don’t force it or have a routine, I write when I feel compelled; I have a life one and positive one 6. Mornings- I like the menu thing. For me I do things if I feel like it, I don’t if I don’t feel like it 7. Supplements- I only take things that I know help me based on how I feel or improved numbers and do not harm me and are generally low risk

The most important vitamin for me to get checked was vitamin d. I take a spray that I prove it works by taking an examen before and after I started using it (my pcp helped me of course). I also take b12 even though my test showed that I wasn’t lacking but I am vegan so I make sure I take a daily supplement for that. Also a spray. I mention this because I disliked swallowing pills. So in case anyone is looking for a spray I recommend MyKind Organics.
