Recently my therapist told me that people pleasing is not a personality trait - it’s a pattern of behavior. And it totally opened my eyes. These patterns are often clouded by “rewards” like avoiding conflict. Which is not really a reward because you’ve muted yourself and not allowed your true self to show. Maybe this thought/concept will be as beneficial for you as it was for me!
