What about the Uvalde School shooting?
@loafoffloof34202 ай бұрын
@@clarkesmith. very likely he was not in Uvdale PD. If the Uvdale PD police chief at that time Arredondo took into his leadership position and green lit his officers to go in, then the Uvdale would have been less of a tragedy as it is known today. Otherwise, it was also a poor coordination of communication and also the failure of initiative/leadership of the first officer Adrian Gonzales whose reactions at Uvdale that also compounded into making such a tragedy. Arredondo and the Gonzales were both held responsible, charged, and was fired from the police department

@flyingdoctor993 жыл бұрын
@@HeroesNextDoor That makes sense, even if returning to a fight if you were in need for a TQ is not very realistic. IRL you will be removed your weapons so you cannot apply friendly fire due to blood loss or pain, and you have to be taken taken out of the hot zone if possible. Training to stay in fight is one side - training to react to a hit comrade the other ;)
@ntlhui3 жыл бұрын
Actually, it sounds like this is a relatively new group of SWAT officers getting trained. Teaching the team to apply a TQ is realistic, but then taking that guy out of the fight means he doesn't get to learn from the rest of the simulation. In terms of training outcomes, it's probably better if the guy stays in the fight in this scenario. If this were an operational unit conducting drills, then arguably it would make more sense to take the guy out. Depends on what the training objective is.

For those wondering why they didn't immediately help an injured victim, is because the best way to save someone is to neutralize the immediate threats first, then drag them to safety. If you attempt to save someone during a gunfight, you will end up being a second casualty. And if your buddies try to save you, the bodies will keep stacking until some takes care of the threat. Edit: they also taught us in the police academy that the first team in is supposed to look for, and neutralize the threat. Second teams going in, are responsible for casualty and evacuation. Different departments have different SOPs, but I heard it's generally the same

All police officers should be doing these types of trainings
@tylerfreal64723 жыл бұрын
ooof lots of flagging and kit set ups that could be improved hope they are all trainees. also banging a room with that many injuried hostages kinda scary

@@HeroesNextDoor no problem i still enjoyed the content the scenarios were great. just think these guys could have had better weapons manipulation around people might get blue on blues with live ammo . it was mostly med gear or there tac vest/pc's are a little low which are both common set up mistakes and not the end of the world. then again im on the outside looking in and only a competition shooter.

how does someone volunteer to do these types of things it seem like a good experience
@HeroesNextDoor2 жыл бұрын
Contact your local police and let them know you are interested in serving but being part of drills they may have. That should get the ball rolling
@Dissension2492 жыл бұрын
I get this was training but some of their guys were just standing in the fatal funnel. Dynamic method is ok for shock value but during deployments I preferred the limited penetration method and taught my guys that also.
@DR-JOHN-DEJAVU-19843 жыл бұрын
Okay, forgive my POV-- but this looks fun! The training, qualification, everything; it's a good workout and test for everyone. I also understand the seriousness of these exercises and totally respect that it's no fun matter and that the stakes are high in reality. But just taking it for face value, this looks enjoyable to go through in order to understand the fundamentals (still much respect).

Great movements, @5:26 though one of the guys flashed his buddy behind the riot shield, again the 3rd man in the stack as they were flowing down the wall seemed to have flashed his guy going down the hallway to the left. Overall though great performance

6:04 why don’t they use these training guns in the paintball course? I’d think that training with actual call out weapons would be better than the paintball guns

That’s what practice is for
@AmazonWebService983 жыл бұрын
@@HeroesNextDoor practice is for when lives aren't at stake if these guys go to a call the next day it's already to late thus their training standards needs to be adjusted before they can go on actual calls it's simple as that. You don't send a soldier to active duty/war before finishing his BCT or any additional training
@carterblake56203 жыл бұрын
Agreed, a lot of exposed backs. Not using the shield properly, dropped security. Slightly worrying they would get the call. This is what happens when you have part time swat trying to be « operators »

no fitness requirements for SWAT? The bellies on most of these is shameful.
@PUREHOZER3 жыл бұрын
I guess if they can do the job then they stay but I agree with you anyone who is tasked with saving the lives of others should be mandated to be physically fit.
@DEEZ_N4T3 жыл бұрын
I’m guessing it’s just “Beer bellies” as long as they’re proficient and can physically endure the training then it’s fine for your belly to be a little bloated
@AmazonWebService983 жыл бұрын
@@DEEZ_N4T look at the last ''entry/breach'' w/e u wanna call it, it was NOT good. reading the building/room is very important especially if you already cleared multiple floors, they acted like they just stepped in
@anglishbookcraft15163 жыл бұрын
@@PUREHOZER from what I recall there isn’t exactly weight standards but physical fitness standards. If you can run fast, shoot well, crouch, lay down and match all the other team members then technically you can get away with it, but it’s an eyesore to say the least.
@PUREHOZER3 жыл бұрын
@@anglishbookcraft1516 definetly agree that it's an eyesore but st the same time I believe that there should be some mandated fitness requirements for a job of that nature.

Please give advice what tactical boots, goggles, backpacks are good? What are you using?
@HeroesNextDoor2 жыл бұрын
Boots are all user preference. Just make sure that they are quiet and don’t squeak when walking. Goggles are no good use safety glasses. Goggles obscured your side vision to much. The backpack is mission specific. Up load and download capability is the key. BDS makes custom bags
