Great video! Your widgets (depending what they are/are doing) may be causing the drain. That with a mix of the AOD may be the culprit. If they are important to you, leave them on and just be mindful about charging.

that is exactly what happens, charged my 13 mini(battery maximum capacity 88%) to 100% and my battery was down to 20% in 1hr 30min with wireless CarPlay/Waze combo

you can also make your screen totally black when its using the AOD. also make sure to turn off the automatic app refresh in background cause you don't really need it. also, plastic cover aren't good for the battery heat

From what I've heard, you can change the settings for the always on display so it just displays the time and notifs, not the wallpaper, which should save the battery a bit

AOD is your main issue for battery drain. There is a benefit to using it, but we could benefit more if Apple added more options. So for now I turned mine off. Options I would love to see: 1. AOD only displays when charging wireless or plug in. 2. Setup places for AOD only such as home or office. They can even use the built in focus option to help with this.

I must say, I have been enjoying the battery life of my Iphone 14 Pro. I also have Always on dispay on all the time and with 8 hours of screen time in combination with always on display I have about 23% battery life left. ( this is in 2 days without charging ) so I don’t really know why your Iphone’s battery life isn’t optimal.

I had bought a base S23 but 3 weeks later, after trying to become accustomed to it, I couldn't. So now I'm switching to a 14 Pro. It's nice to know the hz can be up to 120. I had previously switched from a 11 to the S23 to try something new and man did I regret it lol. Each brand has its features and stronger areas but Apple is pretty simple and straightforward with what they do and don't offer on their phones and I've always liked that simplicity. Also I've been having such bad luck with the fingerprint scanner and Face ID on the S23 (it's so frustrating). Rarely ever had any trouble with face ID on my 11. Overall, awesome video man.

@@antoniorengel8 Honestly, not that bad. Kinda what I expected from owning iPhones in the past. With normal use, I end up with 20-30% at the end of the day. However, I’ve been trying something new and just charging it to 80% instead of 100. I charge it to that in the morning and by around 11 or 12 pm I’m at 65%. If I use it heavily I end up with like 55-60.

Try disabling AOD + turn on battery saver when possible. Phone lasts more than a day even with heavy usage when I do that

I agree with downsizing, i downsized from 13 pro max to 14 pro but i just got the 14 pro max, the battery life on the 14 pro is very bad, never lasts me a full day :/ 13 pro had better battery life

LOVE your videos bro! My iPhone upgrade is the CRAZIEST ever! I've upgraded from my iPhone 4S at 11 years old to the 14 Pro 256GB!!!!!!! Having a love / hate relationship with it at the moment. I've had it 4 weeks now so early days. The size is taking some getting used to - a 14 Pro MINI would have been perfect for me. The OLED screen is beautiful. BUT iOS 16 is buggy which on a new phone is disappointing. I get a judder when scrolling every few seconds - is this the variable / adaptive screen? Also Video Home Sharing is broken STILL since iOS 14. LOVE the speakers - Dolby Atmos on iTunes film & ATV+ is insanely great! Speaker on the phone seems very strange when making calls in terms of where you put your ear on the the phone. In the UK it is a little over priced at £1200. Think with a less buggy iOS it would be a really great device.

im on 16.2 and my battery life is a day long, with my battery dipping under 10% around 8:00/9:00 PM, my 14 pro is also younger than yours most likely, as i got it late december, so 16.3 might be causing battery drain 😟

Have you tried erasing the phone and starting afresh. A new Apple ID and everything. I also noticed that my new iPhone seemed to carry on the same issues as my previous one. After erasing it and starting with a new Apple ID, everything got better

talkin’ about battery at the beginning.. there are high chances that Apple Carplay fucks up your battery. ever since the last 2 updates my battery gets shattered every time i connect to it. (13 Pro Max-1 year and 3 months later still has an incredible battery with 88% health, expect for when i m connected to Apple Carplay)

OMG, the wake up alarm tune. Brought me back when I got my first iPhone 3GS in 2009. I have been a phone nerd dating back to 1997 and been upgrading every year since. I am so nerdy today that I will normally have a lineup of 3 phones I rotate. I always have an iPhone because of my deep ecosystem but when I need a break from Apple I will use an Android. I just sold my Pixel so its an S22 Ultra and iPhone. Even though my house is powered by Google Nest everything, the Pixel software didn't do it for me. Was thinking of adding a OnePlus 11 Pro in its place but really content with Samsung UI 5.0 and constant updates.
