papas con cuero means potatoes with skin pork cooked together... not tripes. I really miss a lot Ecuadorian food.. I live in Canada and I'm from Cuenca originally. I will go back soon for few months and I will do a feast of food.. Good channel :)

To me, cuy reminds me of the taste of squirrel. Since they're both rodents that shouldn't be too surprising. My father hunted many types of critters, squirrel was my least favorite. Papas con cuero, in my experience, is made with pork skin, not tripe. Interesting video about a lovely smallish town, thanks for sharing.

Hit the nail on the head with the sancocho vs fritada difference. A huge pet peeve of mine is when I order fritada at a restaurant and they serve me sancocho instead 🤦♂️

@@ayngelina I miss cebu letchon. I been trying to get to Ecuador but work is too much on me. I took on one more job. I will be in Lithuania in 3 weeks . Visit family and try to get them to the states pick up a Ukrainian squad train them in the field in the Ukraine. Then fly home put my belongings in storage then head to Ecuador. Then sleep for 2 weeks

I would not eat cuy and I'm Ecuadorian...Is eaten in the Andes not in the coast...
