Have a place on Stillhouse Hollow and it's great when the lake is full and it's clear enough to have a dive shop, but Georgetown is using overusing Lake Georgetown plus piping water from Stillhouse. Killeen's population has grown, but north Killeen is rough and the only grocery store (HEB) closed. South Killeen is ok minus still too many juvenile delinquents, but it has Phantom Warrior Brewing, Traveling Pint and Pizza (Southern Roots affiliated I believe), good Korean food, and good food trucks.

It's just like any other small town in America...what is so shitty about it????
@The2ndFirst6 ай бұрын
@@eddiejacks9512 I can assure you it is not like "every other small town in America". It has high crime, the downtown is complete trash. There is no inherent culture to the place. It's just a bunch of transient people and the sort that leach off the .mil folks. Now is it just like Jacksonville, NC? Fayetteville, NC and the like. Yep. Tons of pawn shops, strip clubs and tattoo places. Even Harker Heights managed to improve itself over the years, and Copperas Cove is a reasonably nice residential enclave. Heck, Gatesville is even superior to Killeen in every way.

Forgot about Killeen...Thanks for reminding me. Now I know where I can get me some really good camping, hunting, dishing, sailing, winter rising gear. Got a trip to Nebraska scheduled for Nov 2025, so I'll need some new gear to fit. While I'm at it you might want to take a trip back to the Beaumont/Pt Arthur area and visit Village Creek and Pinetree Lodge. Great day of fun on the water and you'll make it from Kountze back to Lumberton and turn in your canoe rental in time to make it to Pinetree for dinner. Catch Pinetree on a weekend and they might even have a live Cajun band playing while you eat dinner. Have breakfast while your loading your gear and stop for lunch at one of the sandbars on your way from Kountze to Lumberton.

That paintball place used to be Comanche Badlanz. When I was stationed at Fort Hood, that field was my second home. I actually helped put up the phone polls and netting. Didn't look that crappy back then lol.

I can't imagine why. It's pretty much culturally dead. I lived in TX for 25 years and that little Copperas Cove/Harker Heights/Killeen area is complete trash. Heights as I was leaving the area was transforming it's self into a nice commercial area but that's all I ever saw improving. I lived in Cove for most of my time there. It was a better option. Lampassas is the best option in the area. That's actually a pretty cool town. Plus, they have Storm's.

He's saying that it takes a good military to protect the freedom and peace of the land. North Korea doesn't have families going to the park because they are too busy staving to death and losing their adolescent daughters to the military men who abduct them and use them for exactly what you think. Our military not only does not do that, but in fact protects us from governments who would.

Long time? It got renamed last May it hasn't even been a year plus this episode came out over a decade ago it only got uploaded to KZbin today so back when the episode came out there wasn't even a movement to rename the Fort at the time it came out. So don't blame them for using the name the Fort was called at the time they recorded it when there was no movement to get it rechanged.
