As of Oct 2019, the black kitties are still enjoying the Grande Marina. They are very happy there. And the puppy that's a white and Brown terrier mix is still a regular part of piazzo tasso. If you are reading this... Please don't call this dog out of the middle of the piazza. He/she is very well versed in crossing the busy piazza streets. After seeing Sorrento for the first time in 2017 while teaching photography for my university, I spent 5 weeks in summer 2018 teaching photography for the Sant'Anna Institute in Sorrento. It's one of my favorite parts of Italy, conveniently located near the island of Capri and a quick car or bus ride to the Amalfi Coast, including Positano, etc. But Sorrento itself has so much to offer as well in terms of culture, food, etc. Hiking to the nearby Baths of Queen Giovanna is one of my favorite things to do in the Sorrento area.

Sorrento was such a pleasant surprise! Visited after Capri and the differences were so obvious. Capri was so touristy and expensive but Sorrento was the complete opposite! Visit before it gets taken over by tourists!

This brings back memories. We so loved Sorrento. Did you happen to come across a shop called Terrerosse? It is owned by an artist that paints, scupts and draws mermaids and mermen. Sorrento has a great folklore history of the merpeople. His artwork is amazing.

Yeah, it was the "BAR VENERUSO" (cafè-restaurant-pastry shop). Easy to reach, is collocated on "Corso Italia" the main street of Sorrento, near the city hospital.

Hey guys... doing Naples south for a couple weeks, 1st week of November. I booked 4 nights in Naples to do Paestum, Pompeii, Mt. Vesuv, and Herculaneum, but am able to change since thinking might be too far. Later, plan on staying in Sorrento (even though off season) to do Amalfi, Positano, Capri, Ravello. I'm not so sure about Naples as our head base, as I'm just going off travel books, maps and youtube videos. Do yu have any tips on insight you have gathered about a good home base for daytrips? Hello Stephen, that cafè in Sorrento is called "BAR VENERUSO", is a bar-restaurant-pastry shop collocated near the city hospital. It is on "Corso Italia" the main street of Sorrento, so it's easy to reach.

From these videos I learned that Sam likes pizza...like a lot!! and anything with lemons in it! lol. By the way Sam, I like the little personal segment you did with Audrey at the end, it felt almost like a daily vlog feel, don’t get me wrong, your videos are very informative but it breaks the formality of being just a travel blog, it adds some additional layer of personalization, another example is when you encounter local pets, especially that one episode where you were feeding the cats, etc. I liked seeing that kind of interaction, it breaks up the travel blog structure, maybe film some interactions with the locals as well, hope that made sense, as always, love the videos!
