I've heard people say Chad and Lori deserve the death penalty. Please NO !!! They need to suffer !! I was in the hospital for a week during COVID for heart observation and test. The door stayed shut. The people that came in were quick and suited up in mask and goggles. I almost went insane feeling isolated surrounded by 4 walls in a lil room and only 1 person and the same person could visit for minimum of 2 hours a day. It was then, I became highly against Capital Murder... especially for people like Chad, Lori and Alex !!! They need to feel what I felt for life. What they've done, suffering isn't even enough. Live and think everyday of what you have done. The death penalty is an easy way out for them.

It doesn't matter where the hearing or trial is held. This case is known all over the world and people have their thoughts and know the facts that have been honestly given to the public. I am from across the country and if I was on the jury, I know already what I would say. Changing this to just a county or few counties away is not gonna make ANY difference. And I know where jurors are accepted to be part of a jury, by lying during the questions asked while being chosen or not to be part of the jury. There could be jury chosen who really already have their mind made up. Just saying....

Wood did a good job (1) there's a bias on who answers the survey (people interested in crime); (2) the information hasn't been disaggregated according to county or person charges, and it'd be too small of a sample size to draw conclusions (which might be a sign people in Chad's county are reluctant to get involved or make judgements); and (3) the language of 'crime' was leading (of course semantics matter in surveys)

Lori is indigent and has a public defender. According to Idaho statute a public defender in a death penalty case must be experienced in DP cases and be DP certified. The indigent defendant also must have two attorneys. Since Chad is paying for his own attorney he can hire anyone he wants to, qualified or not.
