1st of 4 videos of EBC trek - filmed Oct. 2021. A world like we've never seen before! Come with us on this 13 day journey! This is a luxury trek which means we stay in nicer lodges with our own bathroom on the lower part of the mountain, sometimes with electric blankets. There is no heat in any of the rooms we stayed in anywhere on the trek. We share our journey, food, lodging, and more. What an incredible place!
We used Adventures Within Reach for this trek. We have used them for most of our worldwide adventures and they are excellent! We highly recommend them!

Thank you! Yes, I can. We used a company called "Adventures Within Reach". We have used them for years on adventures all over the world and they've been great every time! They are not too expensive, but not the cheapest either. They are right in the middle. Check them out!

Your meals looked yummy. When you saw that view of Mt. Everest, you were not far from Namche. I learned from Google search. You got a luxury trip. I can tel from your meals.

The food was really good at the luxury lodges, but from Dingboche and higher, they weren't as good. It's good that you are doing so much research before your trip! :)

@@TaterTrails I stayed in Friendship Lodge in Dingboche. The Dal Bhat has no green vegetables because the yak or labor cannot carry perishable foods without refrigeration on a week journey from Kathmandu. I can understand that.

We set it up in advance with "Adventures Within Reach" in the U.S. Then they arranged everything with a company in Nepal. I highly recommend them!

@@TaterTrails I am going this early November. I wish I could complete the trek like you. You and your husband were so cool on the trek. It seemed nothing really bothered you much. I might take Diamox. Did you take Diamox?

@@GODISMYSTERIOUS Thank you! We were concerned about things, but we just took it one step at a time and enjoyed the journey. IF you think you might get high altitude sickness, you can take Diamox. I couldn't take it because I'm allergic to it, and my husband never gets high altitude sickness. I hope you have a wonderful trip!

Thank you! I used a 28 liter backpack and my husband used a 30 liter backpack. The porters carried our main duffel bags, and we carried only what we needed for the day, including my husband's SLR camera and lenses. Hope this helps and hope you have an amazing trip!

@@TaterTrails I am ready to carry a 45 liter backpack to hold 2 toilet paper, a down vest, a down jacket, a sunhat, a woolen Sherpa hat, sun gloves, merino wool gloves, vitamins and probiotics for easy access.

@@victorecholima With no guide and no porter, you need to rely on good weather. Hopefully no sudden snow storm or avalanche which have kept some lone trekkers stuck in poor weather conditions for long hours and they were unable to seek help because helicopters stop flying in severe weather. If I travel to a country like Nepal, I would like to offer jobs to a guide and porter who rely on trekkers to make a living. This is a win win situation.

Yes, we stayed in a couple of different hotels in Kathmandu. I don't remember the names. How was your trek? Did you go yet?
