I think family photos makes an apartment look more like a home, more life and warmth..so not cringy at all! I like the idea of a photo that is not like taken in a studio, like the examples you showed. Artsy and cozy for sure. 😊

The way you feel about your body is totally valid. No sugar coating needed from others, I totally understand. We moms "lose" a part of ourselves in the motherhood journey and it's totally okay to feel the need to be put together and elegant. I think there should be no shame about feeling like that and for openly talking about it. Much love❤❤

I'm chronically ill, and most of the days, I'm bedridden. And I'm single. So I get your feeling of being secluded from life. For me, on good days, I try to connect physically with people as much as I can. Even going to the store and talking to the cashier. Things like that. And I have tea dates with my best friend. But that can only happen when I'm feeling good. Taking a walk to a park isn't an option for me. But I do the best I can within my limitations. I really hope that you feel connected with everyone around you really soon. Know that you are not alone with this feeling!❤ Big hug from the Netherlands. 🤗 🇳🇱

I felt that lost feeling with my first pregnancy. I came to realise it wasn’t so much “lost” as transitional. I was not one thing or the other. I wasn’t yet a mum and yet I wasn’t the person I had been. It felt like waiting and not knowing how to wait? Once my son was born he completed the puzzle and life clicked into place. All I can suggest is don’t worry about it, it’s normal to feel the way you do and use this time to indulge yourself in things that make you happy.

My recommendation on a stroller is to pick one that 1.) fits in your trunk and leaves space for other things, (if you don’t have a car, that’s light enough and easy enough for you to handle while holding 20lbs in your other arm) 2.) to choose one that you can do all the functions potentially one handed 3.) That you choose the one that’s design and functions are most intuitive to you (they don’t all function the same, and some little things make life so much easier. But it’s up to you to decide what makes it easier for how you function.) Best of luck 🤞

I really appreciate your transparency and honesty about your relationship with your body! Though very different than pregnancy, I have some chronic conditions that cause my weight to fluctuate a lot. It can be frustrating when you logically understand why the body is changing and know that it’s natural but you still feel bad about it. Hearing you talk about it and not shame it or try to quickly get out of it and instead just acknowledge it as a feeling that will, like all feelings, come and go was really helpful! I always come to these videos for the wonderful camera work and editing and I leave with such a cozy and comforting feeling because of your personality!

For the living room, I would center up the bookshelves more behind the sofa and move the plant into the corner by the window. This would help alleviate some of that empty space you don't like. Also, I would buy a short plant stand to get the plant off the floor. Visually, it would also look better a little higher up to help balance the textures at more of an eye level. 😊

I’ve gotten this suggestion before but I just personally don’t like the symmetry of how that would turn out, that would be the same as what’s going on on the opposite wall taking away any dynamic feel 😭🙈💚

Also, love the idea of the family picture, I feel like it would bring more warmth and a homey feeling. Dear Sissel, I feel you. About the body change and such. Its like you have these 2 legitimate reality. happiness of the belly growth but the feeling of losing "elegance" as you just said. I have 2 kids (12 & 13 now) but I still have those lingering sad feeling sometimes that it is just not as easy to get dressed. So Thank you for being honest about it - and especially that self-reflection with stuck in the house and not moving - I also have this linked feeling. There is a study about it ("The effect of a single session of exercise on women’s body image and mood") that shows that a single exercise can radically change the immediate sense of self.

Your videos are always one of my highlights of the week, Sissel. I always know that on Sundays (or Mondays if I go to bed early and can't see it right away) I'll get 20-30 minutes of calm. I'll put on some incense and make some tea, and I'll watch your video, and it's always such a cozy moment and I'm so thankful for that. I've also been sick the last two weeks and the last week was so tough for me mentally. I started feeling so bored and stuck in my head (or phone) that I felt like everything was so meaningless (though just like you said, I know logically I have lots of meaning in my life). So hearing you say the exact things I've been feeling meant so much. I'm slowly being able to go outside on walks now, so I'm so much better mentally already. It's crazy what a week or two stuck at home, sick, can do to your mental state! Anyway, thanks as always fo this week's video! 🤍

It’s the crowds at the airport, the flight and the difference in time zone just upsets your whole system. This is a big transition time for you both. Sleep deprivation will definitely test a relationship so such a good idea to have an open discussion about this and airing your concerns as you will be very tired after having baby, and at the same time adjusting to a new lifestyle. It is definitely a team game that has very exciting times and times when you are thrown a curve ball. Keep talking and remember to laugh, a lot. Totally get your comments about your body changing, it’s so hard to keep up with it as it changes everyday. ❤

Glad you’re feeling better! Traveling always makes me sick once I get home - I think being so active on vacation and then coming home and finally relaxing in your space, your immune system finally knows it can let go and it all hits me🥲 Love the apt updates! So interesting that the apt has stone walls - I like the large photo in that space behind the couch as it might offset the beige bookcase too. You could do a few small photos above the bed, all different sizes to give it more of an abstract feeling/vibe. I’m with you on the body thoughts - I’m noticing more fat in my arms and legs and the cellulite is really getting to me😓 I’m finding that I’m now trying to cover those areas as I don’t want to go out in public like that and although my husband says I look great, I don’t feel it at all. I was fit and quite thin prior to getting pregnant so it’s been some big changes for my mind to process.

I 100% feel the same way. Even being home for 1 day makes me feel insane or lost. The worst is when you really feel lost and almost starts to believe it is true. But then you go out and remember life is real😅🥰 good luck with the baby🍼

Ohh your channel has been my emotional support. I am currently in my first trimester and seeing your changes and thoughts, life changes. I feel somehow - I can do it! Especially taking a walk, I have felt sooo nauseous and lazy same time, but outside is so humid and hot. Thought if she can do it, I can as well ❤️ you are amazing. Latvian in Florida! I’m impressed how you handle humidity and heat!

I also hate being sick and being at home doing „nothing“ I get so bored and restless and dissatisfied! Walks is also my prime remedy or going to the supermarket, cooking also helps me feel like I „did something“. Or cleaning a bit around the house if I have the energy while I’m sick

Maybe you could move the Mostera next to the bookcase for more colour on the wall, which still moves it out of the way for the baby. I really like your example family pictures, they would look really cozy and stylish. Thank you for another calm video, I love wathcing them as a break from work or studying :)

I like the family photo idea!! My favorite ones were the 2nd and 3rd photos you showed as examples!!! Those ones were just too precious and beautiful! Lot's of love! Also as a side note I've been at home like that for 5 or 6 years now. And yes I feel like I have no meaning. And when I want to work out, or go on walks, I just don't even know where to begin..so i stay still rotting away in my room and apartment...the only times I really get ready is for work. But it's the same outfit every. single. time. It does just get really tiring and draining.

That sounds really monotone, I understand why you feel drained with that lifestyle! Just know that at the end of the day the power is always in our hands - we can change the course of our life, always 💚

If you don't want an oversupply, what I did is get a haaka, it's a little "bottle" that sucks onto the other side while you're nursing and very gently creates a vacuum. Since you leak out of the side you're not nursing on, it'll collect that milk. I used that every time I nursed in the beginning to create a small stash in our freezer.

I’ve got that ! As well as their lady bug 🥹💚
@natalein76514 ай бұрын
@@sisselab YES! Those two are really great! I used the bottle in the morning when both sides were more "fuller" and the ladybug during the rest of the day. It's such a nice way to get a small freezer stash in case you go somewhere without baby! We have an 11, almost 12 month old boy right now

Bouncy bouncy 😂 aww so cute, Jake!! 😌 @ Sissel: regarding the heart to heart: that's ok. I guess if you think about it, we're constantly noticing changes in our bodies throughout our lives, good & bad. So even if you are doing so while being pregnant right now - it's just the course of life :) I've never been pregnant, but I still can relate. Now, at 42 yrs old, my body's changing a lot & I am noticing it so much lately (& not liking it lol). Good news is: we can always work on & improve our bodies & mindset. Knowing that we're in control of that is both soothing & empowering to me. Hope your health is a 100% again, cause it's the most precious thing of all 🤍

I like to see the different points of view of life. I grew up with the cooks in my family dislike in apartments that had electric or glass stoves. They preferred gas stoves because they felt that they cook better with it. I still remember them complaining about the non gas stoves in our native tongue. Now a sign adult I understand the importance of having your favorite appliances in the kitchen.

Definitely try strollers before buying them. There are so many options and online its hard to tell the difference. We tried the options in store that I researched beforehand and decided based on it felt when we walked around, storage to put groceries away, ability to adjust height etc. We bought the Geo 3 from Joolz, i think around the same pricepoint as the fox5 from Bugaboo! And also, so much fun to shop around and imagine your little baby in them 😊 it made me so happy! Our little boy will be born a few weeks after yours! 🩵
