@Gabriel-wk3hz2 жыл бұрын
Days Gone is a fantastic, tense experience if you play it on the higher difficulties. Having to sneak around, using hit and run tactics and trying to save on gas and ammo had me on edge the whole time, and the game expands the amount of freakers per area. This essentially makes any township a horde spawn, and it's absolutely horrifying having to take out the nests. It also removes the superpower abilities, making you use your eyes and ears for everything. I highly recommend playing it like that for your first playthrough. It's also secretly a Syphon Filter game, so 😎👉👉

@@larifax-8107 Don't get me wrong, there are technically better games, heck, more competent games out there. Days Gone is fairly unique with what it makes of the more tropey elements of modern survival game design. Sure, it might play like a slightly faster paced Last of Us sometimes, but a good majority of the game is strategizing when and where you're going to drive to not end up attracting a horde and running out of gas. You will never know true, pants crapping terror until you have a good hundred freakers chasing you a few metres out, and after you've run out of gas, have to slowly kick your bike up a hill so you can use gravity to keep yourself alive for just a bit longer. I think the game would have done better as a AA, middle market indie published game rather than a big budget Sony exclusive, as the hype kinda killed any chance of its seemingly intended niche demographic.

I played through the game when it came on PC and I felt like it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. All the bugs that every other reviewer had talked about in their videos were ironed out, the characters felt well written and the Deacon himself felt like a very compelling character and his relationship with Boozer felt genuine and authentic. I did almost all the sidequests and while they were hardly anything to write home about, it was a good time for me since I enjoyed the core gameplay loop well enough. Sucks that it isn't going to get a sequel but I feel like this game will be appreciated much more in retrospect.

ok no bullshit on bugs being ironed out, there an area in the map that still doesn't load correct and there also main mission in the area that can soft lock your game if you didn't save (What It Takes To Survive is the mission) that been know to happen since the game came out, i had multiple times the gun just stop shooting, freaker can hit you when 5 feet away, the human enemy are dumb as rocks and hordes just spawning in on top of you. i Like the game but seeing people state there no major bugs is bullshit (also on ps4 pro)

I have a weird relationship with Days Gone. I love the game, with all it's flaws, and truly think it deserves a sequel. I got it free with PS Plus, and played it non-stop for 2/3 weeks, as did all my friends. We spent hours talking about the story, our favorite moments, and our favorite characters (Boozer. No other answer.) It has its bugs, but it's still insane to fight huge hordes while biking around. Sam Witwer's performance is great, and I wish we got some more closure on his and Sarah's story. The memories I have with this game are mostly because of the story, and the times my friends all played in the party together.

I really enjoyed my time with Day's Gone. I played it after most of the bugs were patched and fixed so those didn't effect my experience much. Just cruising around blasting freakers and exploring the world kept me coming back for more. The story and characters were decent but nothing new or groundbreaking. The graphics and sound are great I have zero complaints on those. The combat was a ton of fun. I played the game on hard and felt the difficulty was just right. It kept things tense with regular humans being able to take my health down fairly quick and the hordes were a total rush to fight as I had to plan things out and play wisely to survive them. To me Day's Gone is a gem in the rough and I hope it eventually gets a sequel with a bit more polish and some fresh ideas.

I enjoyed the story and the hordes were just so well done and I just loved coming up with tactics and plans to sort of a script my own fights. It might not be a masterpiece but it was fun and diverting at a time I really needed something to be just that. On scoring of games - one persons 10 is another’s 1 - so by and large meaningless. Currently i'm replaying this game on the highest difficulty, that being Survival II which removes the HUD, you can only see the minimap when using Survivor Sense, and enemies do a lot of damage. So far it's been a blast. the gameplay suits it to some degree. the game itself is incredibly flawed but it isn't flawed enough to be considered bad or mediocre. it's okay and does enough to keep itself interesting but not for long. the characters are alright but the story they're stuck in has many issues that should've been ironed out or left on the cutting room floor. Days Gone is the sort of game that you'd play just to pass the time here and there because trying to take huge chunks out of it at once can get tiring. Great video dude. can't wait to see more from you.

I ain't gonna lie, one of the main reasons I finished this game was because of how great the gun sounds are. You're absolutely right about how the director told Sam to go a little too far with being unhinged. It's some of the corniest "try to sound like a hardass" dialogue I've ever heard. It sounds like a mix between him getting off and trying to sound tough I've ever heard, and it's so bad it's funny. The game would've been so much better if Deacon's wife, Sarah, was actually dead, and he had to learn to let go. The scene at the church was probably the best piece of the narrative, and they threw it all away for a "everyone wins" ending. And as milquetoast as the story is, I kinda liked how feel good it was. It was a nice break from all of Sony's somber, stoic 3rd person action games they've been churning out.

I think Bend, who I was already a fan of from the Syphon Filter games, did a great job on a lot of the environments. I think the story is better than it gets credit for too. I like how optimistic it ultimately is compared to other zombies media and Deacon turns out to be a more unique character than he appears to be at first glance. That sequel hook at the end is insane and I am sad that we may never get to see what they were setting up with it.

All of the criticisms are valid (except I'm not seeing any bugs now or performance issues on a PS4 Pro). But they add up to a solid 8 or even 9 out of 10 because it really feels like you are living, surviving and scavenging in its world in a way that just isn't true for games such as Red Dead or Tsushima. Those are much more story- and mission-orientated whereas Days Gone really nails the open world feel.

I think horde fights would be mutch better if we had them from begining and they would just escalate.

Needs to be played on survival difficulty. Then it’s a solid 9 for me.

I got it for "free" on ps plus and I enjoy it currently although I am at a point where I am wondering how much longer will it go on.

It’s a good game, not great but not bad either, it starts out really slow, feels like you’re just running errands for a few camps, but if you stick with it it’s a worthwhile experience with a satisfying progression system

I enjoyed this game alot tbh, did all nero collectibles, all ambushes, all historic landmarks, i hated the hordes so much tbh, when I finished the game, and did the rest, there was only a couple infestation left in the last area of the game and all the hordes all over the world, having to collect supplies to build stuff to fight the hordes was the last thing on my mind, loved the experience of doing as much as I could In the game, but stuff like hordes I couldn't be bothered to do at all. If there's anyone else who agrees pls let me know

Even if it's not that kickass game, I strongly think that it should have a sequel to continue its storyline with the history of outbreak!

I streamed and finish this game. But there's still a lot of things to do! I'm still streaming this, clearing hordes & side missions. It has its flaws, but it's enjoyable. I've said it so many times on my stream... Believe it or not, It's like playing Horizon, but with zombies... I mean freakers. 🤣

One of the most trite and tedius Games I've force myself to play in a long Time. Deacon is so socially awkward, it's almost relatable though.

I remember how this game had SO MANY ads.

I stopped playing shortly after Deacon discovers his wife is actually still alive. It's just such a mind numbingly OKAY game and is virtually indistinguishable from any modern Ubisoft game which seems to be the new trend for Sony exclusives now. Horzion, Tsushima and Days Gone, all pretty much Ubisoft clones.

Its a good game. Only negatives for me are the flashback sections where im just walking essentially. And i don't find the very last boss interesting. But i really like riding around on bike. Customizing. Upgrading.

You know the beginning I was actually going to defend these gone even though I have not played it yet but because it looked very good my opinion and then after watching videos realized that there are a lot of missed opportunities that was not in the main game itself so I guess I will have to retract my defense on that game

I had a fun time with it until a glitch where none of the cut scene audio would play
