Some splinter cell games are better on playstation, and some of them are better on xbox or pc, or at the very least playing the HD versions on ps3. Chaos theory is pretty much the same on either one. The first game is better on hd or the og. Pandora tomorrow is 100% better on ps2, I actually prefer the version 2 of double agent aswell. (Og xbox, ps2) conviction and blacklist are exactly the same.

Just to be clear, Remake RE4 is a reimagined of the OG RE4. But in the end, its still managed to be a fun and great games with the amount of mod in PC that it enhanced it even further. Is it a masterpiece? No, I never wanted or expected it to but what I wanted out of the Remake for RE4 is carrying lots of elements from the OG and reworks lots of it to be more good (Looking at you, Luis Sera and Separated Way). I still deeppy loved the OG RE4 by the way but I wont lied that Remake RE4 still managed to capture lots of what make RE4 nostalgic and truly fun when we first play it. By the way, our favorite doggy friend is in the Remake and he is way better utilized than the OG. As for Ashley? Its a mixed for me but I rarely encounter many huge reset in regards to her even on Pro difficulty. You can still made her wear Knight to negated problems related to her.

0:20 I feel you dude. This happens with every fanbase not just RE. For some franchises the “OG gatekeeping” is even worse. Try telling people you think the best Zelda games are BoTW and ToTK. You get branded by the community as “not a real fan”. It is cool to claim you have played since the old days, and the past is always better than the present because how could it not. Also the less mainstream popularity a game has and the more “niche”the game was the better. Turns out I’m 32 and I played Link’s Awakening on a gameboy that didn’t even have colour, I played them all since then, and still think the modern games are way ahead of the others. Nope I’m a fake fan. I must be. Because X game is the best. The same people that said X game was mediocre back then are the same that say it’s a masterpiece now. Just to prove that they are a bigger fan than the guy who discovered the franchise recently or the guy who hopped on the mainstream boat. Truth is, when a game breaks out to the mainstream like RE4 did. It usually means it got there for a reason. That reason is it being good. You can apply this so many franchises. BOTW, DMC3, MGS3, AC2, Skyrim, FF7, Tekken 3, Farcry 3, etc etc. But you either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become a villain.

Jesus, this makes the Scarface game, which was ALSO on PS2 and came out the very same year, look like a masterpiece. Though, that game is actually decent for what it is, warts and all, and by comparison, treats the source material with more respect, even down to getting some of the actors from the movie to do voice work, and the developer (Radical Entertainment) being allowed to use Al Pacino's likeness for Tony Montana.

Really, the only thing I didn't like about this game was the fact that they didn't add the PRL 412 laser cannon in it if you beat the game on professional, or they could have had you unlock that laser cannon a different way, like getting a super high score on every stage with every character in Mercenaries or something like that. My other complaint was the boss battle with U3, which was added in the Separate Ways DLC for the Remake, so that complaint went away. Now, the only complaint I have is the PRL 412. Would they ever add that gun in the game? I have no idea, but if they do add it, all of my complaints about the game will go away. But other than that, the Remake of Resident Evil 4 is almost flawless.

Ive seen this sitting in my local vintage game store for months. I bought "Super Mario 3d World" just a couple days ago and thought about just grabbing the zombie game as well if it was cheap but somehow i got distracted and got a gameboy game instead. I stand by that decision as the market for original GB games is surprisingly fast paced in my town at the moment. Every time i pop in there the inventory of gb games has changed. But the same WiiU titles have been there for months now. ZombieU is apparently very cheap so im DEFINITELY grabbing it next time im there.

They could have make the "college wannabe gangsters" better. 1st. One of them start selling. 2nd. The operation grows and the flatmates end up "helping". 3rd. An actual gang know some a**holes are trying to sell on their territory and go trash their place as a warning. 4th. The assholes keep selling nonetheless. 5th... Depending on who you send to a "delivery"... They throw a Carlos (SR2) kind of scenario... With animations for all of the flatmates ready😅 *Enter gang wars SR1 & SR2 style, with way more recruitment missions* And so on... Until somehow they end up being a crew with other "shady" characters on their side. *the end*

I only decided to have a peek on Hitman franchise now, and that without knowing anything about it before, because of one Hitman vs Payday video uploaded just recently. This is why I think I'll stick to whatever I'm interested in currently and just look on the entries from other videos if I'm going to look into more of it and have better understanding of the games itself. As of the review itself, fair enough I guess. Sounds like it was the last entry anyway, so I'm unsure how to feel about that.

Contracts was my favourite, the game I played over and over to try and get the different rank descriptions like "Enforcer". That opening cinematic is still one of the best in all of video games. "Winter Night" is also just the perfect track to hear when you are plotting to murder.

4 years later... And I'm among those who still doesn't trust Ubisoft to make Splinter Cell, or anything else Tom Clancy for that matter. Today's Ubisoft simply does not care for making anything that doesn't grab the largest audience possible, who also have mommy and daddy's credit card on standby. By definition, slow-paced tactical games like Rainbow Six, and Splinter Cell are going to be niche. It's a niche that is fairly large as far as niches go, but it's niche all the same. And if it can't be monetized with quirky outfits, emotes, and everything else that would make Mr. Clancy roll in his grave, Ubisoft isn't going to touch it. And for reference, look at what they did with Skull and Bones! There's a stamina bar for your ship! They took a niche (Pirate games) and they beat it into the ground with microtransactions! If Ubisoft does make a new Splinter Cell, it'll have paid outfits, paid guns, paid equipment, hell I wouldn't be surprised if they added a timer to how long you can have the goggles on at a time but they'll offer a microtransaction to bypass that. I'm really depressed that there isn't an indie team that's made a decent Splinter Cell like. Yeah there's No Sun To Worship but that's kind of it and that's such a different visual and tonal style from Tom Clancy's style that it's just not the same.

Bravo bravo!!!!! Every word you said from start to finish I agree with. The only thing I'll say is while I've accepted the trajectory of the franchise story canon I can't help but yearn for the days of early third echelon of the original splinter cell where sam is uncovering a conspiracy of a government/country to safe guard the US covertly. I didn't care much for Sam having a personal crisis, the progressively paper thin villains straight out of a marvel movie and the cheesy betrayal archs. I just want a good ol spy infiltrating another country with the help of other spy agencies to thwart a conspiracy by some other government or group. I'm not very much into deep thrillers. Double agent would be the limit of my tolerance. It's like watching Fast and Furious go from a realist underground street racing scene movie to now the same fast fighting robots in space with a space ship Dodge Charger. Idk....but I still love the franchise and definitely hope for something new to come back with the same spirit and premise of the very original splinter cell. And long live Michael Ironside. Absolutely a legend and his voice is a defining memory of my childhood playing these games

Blood Money's my favourite & I do think it's the best one, relative to the time for sure. Best (simple) story which crescendos to the most satisfying last mission in a Hitman game. Some of the map concepts are so cool, the two Vegas ones in particular. I liked all the fluff - newspaper articles, bribes - helps the immersion a lot more than a rating score. It's aged very well, still controls beautifully & graphics are decent. A great, holistic game. Silent Assassin will always be my biased #2. Best soundtrack in a Hitman game easily (only the use of Ave Maria in Blood Money comes close). Best one, imo, in terms of ramping up difficulty the further you get into it. Awesome cheesy sound effects that trigger my nostalgia feels every time. Replayed that game I dunno how many times as a kid. Absolution takes an undeserved kicking. I agree with your take, it's not a bad game in of itself, it's just not a great Hitman game. The new trilogy extracted & built on what was good about it's mechanics very effectively. Contracts? Meh lol... didn't love it, didn't hate it, just kinda there.

So I just started playing this game the other day. It’s the first game I’ve ever played on the Quest 2. For some reason, it gives me really bad motion sickness even though I have the tunneling setting on “strong”. I never had this level of motion sickness when playing games on PSVR and PSVR2, so I don’t understand what the deal is. I think it might be because of how fast Leon moves compared to how characters move in the other VR games I’ve played. Am I the only one here who has this problem?

I completely understand the struggles and complaints that this KZbinr has about the VR version of the original Resident Evil 4. I have some of the same complaints as well. However, my nostalgia for the game remains strong because it was the first Resident Evil game I ever played. I spent a lot of time grinding on that game, so I don't mind playing the campaign over and over again. It's something to do to pass the time if I don't have anything else to do during the day. I got the Quest 2 a couple of years after the original Resident Evil 4 came out on the Oculus Quest 2, and Mercenaries was available as soon as I got it. The PRL 412 hand cannon and the Chicago typewriter, along with some bonus costumes, were available as well. I'm grateful that I got the game and the headset while all of those things were still there. The only thing that bothers me personally is that PlayStation and Xbox allow you to buy the bonus weapons for Resident Evil 2 and 3 remake in case you don't have time to grind to unlock them yourself. It would be nice if the Quest store had the same option to purchase all the bonus weapons and costumes. However, I understand why the company in charge of the Oculus Quest 2 doesn't do this. They want you to spend time grinding to get all these bonus costumes and weapons. Despite this, it's still a minor complaint, and I really enjoyed the game.
