I love your video! I have been an RRT for a lot of years and travelled to the Middle East to work in RT for a couple of years. It was fascinating and I would highly recommend the travel aspect of Respiratory Therapy! The field has come so far and so much more exciting than when I started. Keep up the great work. Thanks for providing information on being a traveling practitioner. The field of Respiratory Therapy is definitely as exciting as you make it! You are definitely rocking it!

thanks so much for your kind words! that would be sooo interesting to work overseas as a RT. working outside of the US is definitely on my bucket list as a travel RT. I definitely need to research that! again, thanks so much!

@@RachelDellee It is definitely an experience and opens the door to world travel since you are already close to a lot of other countries. You are doing a version of that by traveling around in North America, which may be a bit safer these days! Safe travels to you. Keep having FUN! Life is such a remarkable journey!

I love your channel! I have a few questions: 1. Have you ever worked in a sleep lab/clinic? If so how did you like it? 2. Are you going to continue to work the NOC shift longterm? 3. Do you see yourself staying a respiratory therapist? 4. How long do you plan on doing traveling work? What do you like the most about being a respiratory therapist? Thank you for your content! I’m starting my program in October, I’m a bit nervous, the program I’m doing is 19 months long. I look forward to your Q & A 🙂

Hello! I’m Melynna! 🤗 What are some of your favorite studying tips for classes; In order to stay on top of everything? Did you have a planner during RT school? If so how did you set it up during RT school? Are there any good apps that helped you study for RT school or someone you would watch for good learning videos? How many hours a week did you study about? (In order to feel comfortable about the material and your grades) Is it possible to work during RT school? (Even if it’s part time). Do you recommend it or not? What’s one piece of advice you would give to a future RT student? Thank you for your videos! Your doing Amazing & keep up the hard work! 😃

Love the video! I cant wait for your Q&A! Some questions I have, I am sorry if some might be repeat questions: What are some study habits that helped you out tremendously? What class did you struggle the most with? How did you manage to push through the hard times(if you had any)? What was your first day of clinical like? When you started your program and the more you learned, were you shocked by how much an RT does? cause I am! I was not fully prepared, but not in a bad way. Beyond thankful to be part of this program. What do you like the most and least about being an RT? Any regrets becoming an RT?

lovee your videos! 💘 Been thinking about doing RT for some patient care exp. before PA school! Some questions I have for you: 1) How was clinicals for you during school? 2) Hardest part about being in school? 3) How to pick a good RT program 4) Differences between traveling vs. working in typical hospital?
@RachelDellee3 жыл бұрын
thanks too much! ill say this, I think next to RN, RT is an excellent path to get some experience before PA school! Can't wait to share my thoughts on your questions!

Thank you for your videos! I am currently applying for a respiratory therapy program. I’ve been torn between nursing and respiratory therapy your videos have swayed me more in the direction of respiratory therapy with the intentions of traveling .I was wondering How much experience is expected if you want to travel?
@RachelDellee2 жыл бұрын
hi! first off congrats on applying! I hope things have been going well! typically agencies ask for 1-2 years experience prior to traveling. I can't stress how important I think it is to get the experience as a full time staff before traveling!

Did you do a certification for EKG? Or is it on-the-job training. I did 1 full shift of shadowing a EKG tech this summer. I'm a second years student about to take the board exam next month. Love the videos btw!

Nope all on the job training! And really fast training too lol. Thats awesome that you got to take the time to do those EKGs. Best of luck to you on your exams, you got this!

Thinking about going back to school for RT but I really want to work in sleep therapy . I’m in fl & I don’t think they have school (at least from my research)for that but RTs can work as sleep therapist as well. Would you say if I go to school for RT I should work as one first then transfer over to sleep? I think so lol but I want other opinions thanks in advance ! Also I know there’s a shortage with RRT so I feel like I’d be able to get a job right out of school Vs sleep

Are you paying for your own hotels or does your recruiter handle that?
@RachelDellee2 жыл бұрын
it depends on the type of assignment. if its a crisis assignment or a fema contract....housing and tranpsortation is provided for you. I don't have to look for housing. But, typical contracts pay you a housing stipend and you will have to find your own housing.

Whats the hardest thing about respiratory therapy
@RachelDellee2 жыл бұрын
thats a hard question to answer lol we all have our hard days. I think the hardest thing about respiratory can be the workload sometimes. some people don't realize that RTs don't just have 1-2 patients. we can have a handful of ventilators in the icu and still have 1-2 floors with patients to treat. It can be stressful multitasking sometimes!
