Sleeptalk is an incredible album! It has more of the heaviness... I think in the last album they definitely went more for the "radio friendly" stuff you talked about, which is cool too, but I think Sleeptalk shows off more of their potential as a Metal band, and not just a Pop Rock band

It's such a beautiful album. The whole album is based around Rory's (lead singer) grief from losing his father. Completely changes how you listen to the songs after you know where the lyrics come from.

100%. Knowing context makes this album so hard to listen to. As someone that has lost multiple people to cancer and other things, I still can't listen to it without crying multiple times. Rory has a special talent of putting grief perfectly into words.

You will like these after Dayseeker record: 1.Kingdom of Giants - Passenger(2020) 2.Holding Absence - The Greatest Mistake of My Life(2021) / or Self-Titled(2019, which is personally my favorite album of all time) 3.Imminence - Heaven in Hiding(2021) / or Turn the Light On(2019)

When my 8 year old says this is his favourite album (and he plays it a lot in his room)... It makes me confident he's set to make good (musically) choices going forward :) This album has such moments of beauty, simple poppy fun and great lyrics... The Parallel - Hazel's Song is such a emotional one-two punch.. Me and the boy had a great conversation about love and grief after listening to this a few times.

You may like Darkbloom from We Came as Romans as well, its kinda synthic, pop punky, but has brutally heavy parts. Pls check it out. If you want to pre-hear a song from the album off cam, try "Plagued"

I love those Album-Montages from you. They are straight to the point but still transmit all feelings very well. If you‘re more into the futuristic style of metalcore like Bad Omens and stuff, I‘d highly suggest the album Passenger by Kingdom of Giants. They are definitely a band to look out for in the future and have already grown so much as a band.

Absolutely loved this album. Been a fan of them for a few years now and this is very different for them but I really love the sound and direction of this album. I'm hoping to see them in a few months live, pretty sure I might just full on cry tbh lol I do have some suggestions tho. I could be wrong with my comparison of these to this album, but I personally get similar vibes: 1: Rain City Drive - Rain City Drive (self titled) 2: Valiant Hearts - Yonder (It is a bit heavier than Dark Sun, but it goes pretty heavy on synths and wide-open, ethereal atmosphere.) Here's a some more, not necessarily similar to Dayseeker, but do feature aspects of music that I think you'd like based on watching previous reactions :) 1: Arkive - Sonder (Prog-metal . It's a short 6 song EP from 2017 but still to this day it's one of my favourite EP's ever). 2: Straight Shot Home - In-Retrospect (Synthwave Metalcore) 3: Dreamwake - Virtual Reality (Wavecore. This album is basically what you'd expect the 90's to *sound* like in djenty metalcore format)

It’s a similar vibe to Dark Sun albeit definitely heavier and more technical instrumentally

I guess it's not really that similar to Dayseeker, but another amazing band I think you'd love is Above, Below. Their debut album The Lotus Chapters is unbelievable and would be very much up your street if you like that proggy, djenty, deathcory sound from bands like monuments or new sleep token

Don't know if anyone already told you, but this album is all about his father that past away last year, so less heavyness and more feels. I love the album. Also the last song is dedicated to his daughter, she's called Hazel.

Older Dayseeker albums are a lot heavier than this. Rory said this album was gonna be softer as a whole due to everything he was going through while writing it, the loss of his father, the birth of his daughter, etc. Its a great album, as is Sleeptalk. But I recommend going back to Origin and listening to that as well for some heavier music and more Rory screams.
