Anybody else have that problem when they find a new song and listen to it so much that it attaches to the that time in your life, and in the future you come back to listen to that song again and you're just filled with all the emotions and nostalgia of that time when you found that song I tried to explain the best I can lol but its hard to explain Anyways I feel like this is one of those songs ill come back to after some time and remember and feel all the emotions I'm going thru right now

@@endlessgl Don't wanna put words in their mouth, but I assume they just mean the style is not "traditional" to emo as a genre. i.e. I'd say most would hear this song and not immediately think of bands like MCR or Paramore. Not to knock it of course; fantastic song and band. It's too hard to assign subgenres when so many bands are finding unique voices and breaking the boundaries.

As another mid 30's kid who grew up listening to punk & 'emo', I personally dont think this music is similar at all! Its more like modern emo than the classic stuff. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, but when I think of early 00's emo stuff bands such as Underoath, Alexisonfire, The Used (& obvious ones like MCR) come to mind. Old school emo from the 90's like American Football, early Jimmy Eat World etc are second to mind, none of which sound like this (in my opinion). There's another comment on this video describing it as 'new age emo music' which I think is more accurate. The vibes are there but its not like the old emo stuff that used to get made.

Honestly, not a lot of bands get the time of day because of the general listening audience. Personally I've loved pretty much all rock and metal (minus the really weird stuff like black metal or some wonky shit). It hits home because life isn't easy, and I think that's why focus has shifted so much. Our generation is more focused on trending music and what their friends like, because it's simple enough to blare any sound. Angst has got nothing to do with it in my case. If I wanted band angst, I'd go listen to Hawthorne Heights or any other band with the emo cut lol.

I appreciate the band as a whole, but I love the way you can really feel the emotions in Rory’s voice. When he yells, to screams or just singing, the feels are real.

“The worst is yet to come” is something I can relate to so much with a few relationships… Trying to save something broken rarely works. This song will forever resonate with me and help me cope with the fact that people I have loved are gone for good

I love listening to their music, it just beautiful and inspiring and meaningful to everyone that goes through life struggles and heartbreaks and depression. You are loved by everyone who goes through depression.

This used to be one of my depression songs. I haven't listened to it in about 2 years.... Here I am again.

@@kathrynryan8106 what's crazy about depression is memory loss. I don't remember typing this nor why I was in a funk again.
