Hello, thank you for your video. I use it today cause I have to change the clutch gasquet. So its very easy to take off the clutch cover but I have a lots of off difficults to replace it. My problems come from the clutch axes. I SPEND 40MN TO REPLACE THE clutch cover! Grrrrr but now it's ok. I can ride without oil leak.

good video, would have been good to see how to check the basket for wear and how the arm inside the cover works and makes contact with the spindle... does it just press up against it or hook onto it? I've got 50k of start/stop commute miles on mine and isn't slipping but sounds rattly plus operation could be smoother, thinking of pulling it apart just to check its health

Hello, how much did you pay for the clutch pack? And did you buy OEM or after market and where did you buy it?

Which clutch pack did u buy? For some reason it seems I got an extra friction plate and cover won't shut. 2015 675r

Do you think maybe the 10nm torque setting for the spring bolts should be slightly higher for your stiffer springs? I know 10nm is the manufacturers recommendation, but you’re not using standard springs? Just a thought, it probably won’t make much difference, only a few more nm maybe

The kit indicated to use the OEM settings. Haven't had an issue, but that doesn't mean there wouldn't be some small advantage for using a higher torque value. I'm not savvy enough on the engineering/physics side to speak with any confidence on whether there is such an advantage though.

Hi if you’re still available.I’d like to ask you a question about this process and the final outcome of the fix?

Why did you replace only the plates instead of the complete clutch assembly? The assembly too wears out over time right?

probably get 2 or 3 clutches out of a basket and bearings.. mine looked almost like new inside after 40,000km

Does oil need to be drained for this?
@phicuriousrex29745 жыл бұрын
Probably yes. I was changing oil frequently enough (like every 3rd trackday) that I drained the oil and used the old oil to soak the plates. Filled it up with new oil after the install and haven't had any issues.

Hey I’m from India and have the baetona R and want to ask you how long did the plates last ? Have a nice day
@phicuriousrex29745 жыл бұрын
Mine lasted roughly 20k miles before needing replacement. Your mileage will vary based on how you're riding. Once they start to go you'll notice when you get on the gas. It'll feel like your slipping the clutch at higher rpms.

Bro mine lasted just for 10k km =6.2kmiles when I contacted my showroom they told in India because of lot of traffic there will be a good amount of clutch use and they will get damage soon and few of my friends they told me it lasted for 800 miles any way thanks for your time in reply to the comment and have a great day ✌️👍

How much did it cost to replace the clutch plates?
